This will be the 4th year we go back to the Commodore. The property is well looked after by the GM Roger Newton. He treats us like family, what a lovely experience. A short walk to the Waterfont where you can shop till you drop and eat to your hearts content. Wish I could spend an additional month there.

Stayed 6 nights. Nice atmosphere and marine theme. Hotel is about 10 years old. Good breakfast (we didn't have the cooked) with nice tea (we are Brutish). The toast came in a little basket with a cloth cover. We had no trouble and the staff were helpful booking trips and a taxi. Room was serviced quickly and efficiently with turn...

After staying at the commodore I wonder if this hotel ever thought their employees about service and smiling. First we had to change room no smile, apologies or just a remark about the fact that we had this inconvenience Day after went for later breakfast .... We had to ask for anything twice and the food was doll and reheated....

The main hall and dining room of the hotel have a lovely astmosphere, high vaulted ceiling and wooden beams. Breakfast changes slightly every day, with great smoked haddock, kidneys, and a wonderful array of fresh fruit, cheese and nuts - as well as the usuals. Pool small but nice - and location fabulous - a short walk down to the...

As first time visitors to Cape Town we found the Commodore a great place to stay. The hotel is central - walking distance to the V&A waterfront which was a plus. The staff was friendly and courteous - the stand out Laurien who helped plan our free days by booking excursions and restaurants. The hotel also offers a driver &...

We arrived to Cape Town early am. Checked in within the hour. Our room was located at the back of the hotel, 2nd floor, with a top view of Table Mountain. Very spacious and clean. Comparable to a Marriot Hotel. Wifi included , also buffet breakfast. The location of the hotel is great, being a short walk to the V...

I stayed here for 8 days and found the hotel quite nice and very convenient to area restaurants and shops. The staff is very courteous and the food at the hotel was also very good and well priced. The rooms are somewhat small but the hotel also has free secure WIFI which was very reliable.
