We had the unexpected delight of spending anoter night at this wonderful hotel - and it reminded us why this really is our favourite hotel in the world. No question about it. We (family of 5) are on holiday with friends (another family of 5) and we planned to fly to a game reserve for 5 nights before driving to... More

We stayed here for 3 nights at the end of a 4 week holiday in South Africa and it was a terrific end to what had already been a great holiday. The level of service and attention is second to none. We considered staying at the Victoria & Alfred and glad we didn't. The V&A is a little closer to... More

From the room to the view to the service to the food, to the location, everything was perfect at the Cape Grace. We changed our reservation to stay with them at the last minute and they upgraded us to a beautiful rooftop terrace room that faced the water and had a view of Table Mountain. I loved the decor of... We treated ourselves to a night at the Cape Grace on our recent holiday to the Cape. This is definitely luxurious, the staff welcome you as soon as you walk into the hotel and whisk away your luggage. You are given a brief orientation tour and we were early as we had spa treatments booked, but this wasn't any issue.... More

After traveling a long way, arriving at the Cape Grace was a pleasure. We were greeted by tasty welcome drinks and led to a private room to check in and settle all of our affairs. Promptly after we checked in, we were escorted to a beautiful 2 bedroom suite with a large dining area, living room and kitchen. The beds... More

We chose this hotel for a touch of luxury, because it was a member of the "Leading Hotels of the World" and for its position on the V & A Waterfront. We were so glad we had. We came here from another luxury hotel which had set extremely high standards for service and the quality and luxury of its rooms.... More

The hotel is perfectly located on the Waterfront and ideal for walking into the shopping/restaurant area. The Staff certainly provide an EXCEPTIONAL level of service. Would definitely stay again. The luxury of this hotel made a perfect end to my tour of South Africa. I wish all hotels had staff as friendly and efficient as those at the Cape Grace.

Honors for first place would be either the Cape Grace or One and Only across the water. Excellent location right in the Waterfront. Very personal service, always there but unobtrusive. Old money style hotel as opposed to the more modern contemporary One & Only. We stayed in a superior room and had a view of the harbor and mountain, very... More

Booked for afternoon tea here....served either in The Library or the small terrace. As afternoon teas go, this was not particularly outstanding for a hotel of the Cape Grace reputation. The fare was pretty standard....but too many 'sweet' options. Also, given the hot weather the sweet options were 'caked' in very heavy chocolate fillings or coatings. One was too much....... More
