Situated in a quiet street in a walking distance from the watherfront, friendly, clean, good breakfast, nice shower, and comfortable family-rooms. A very good choise in Cape Town if you like easy travelling.

We arrived in Cape-Town as our first stop in South-Afrika and stayed at the B.I.G. and I would recommend this to everyone. Great atmosphere and diner together with all the other guests (is an option) so we could hear other people's story's and advice right away. Rooms are clean and nice. I also love the honesty bar.

I'll preface this review by saying a) I don't wrote travel reviews. I have never been anywhere so overwhelming or underwhelming to warrant a review. Until now; and b) I would like to think I am fairly well travelled having been to all but 1 continent and have some objectivity in this review. Had this place not had the word...

The staff was extremely welcoming, had great information, and provided great service to make the place feel like a family. They even prepared a meal for the entire place. Breakfast was excellent, rooms and common areas were extremely clean. Wi-Fi was strong. One of the best hostels I've ever been in in my 20 years of hostelling internationally.

I recently stayed at the B.I.G. during a weeklong solo trip in Cape Town. I had originally booked for four nights but after a couple days, extended for the rest of my trip - this place is THAT good. The location can't be beat, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff is incredible. I honestly felt like they...

The place is small but looks fantastic- everything is new and clean and beautiful. The staff is young and very friendly and helpful. There is a shared kitchen and a board with activities in Capetown that you can do that changes everyday. The place feels like a 5 star hotel but costs like an average backpacker. We ened up there after...
