Nice and friendly staff. Clean room and kitchen. Quite place. Near town. 5 minutes walk. Room is a bit warm. No airco. Good place for a good price. I need 200 characters and i don't have anything more to say.

The ideal place to be in the City Bowl. Long Street, Bo Kap, Company Gardens, museums, bus stops (MyZity and sightseeing bus) and a variety of great restaurants and bars within walking distance. We even walked up Table Mountain starting from there. Nice, super clean rooms and a spacious, well-equipped self catering kitchen. But most important very friendly and welcoming...

The room was very big, bright and super clean. Keep in mind that there is no AC, but with windows open, it was ok for me. Don't forget to ask a fan if you think that you'll need one. They have some, but they are not necessarily in the room at first. The area is very quiet and all rooms...

People are wonderful! Room clean and big, with ensuite, at reasonable price. Central CBD is good place to begin your journey. Really great security as well. Nice clean kitchen area, including TV for local news.

I am a Sri Lankan who traveled to Cape Town in Sept. 2014 for a conference with 12 of my colleagues. We stayed at this Guest House for 6 nights. Considering the fact that Cape Town may not a very safe city, the security systems at the guest house is reasonable. Some what centrally located in Cape Town. Dining room...

We were happy and thrilled to read all the positive reviews here. We were even more happy and thrilled to experience that they were all true. The staff is golden, the place is top clean, the common kitchen is excellent, the location is central. The money goes to good purposes. The price-quality ratio could not have been better. Highly recommended.

Loved reading the other reviews. Concur: would not stay anywhere else in Cape Town. Great staff and value, plus close to everything.I had a single room with bath and use of the kitchen. CANNOT WAIT to go back. Read about it first, then enjoy.

My partner and I have been travelling in and out of Cape Town for the last two years and we've stayed in different places, it was our first time staying at the Scalabrini Guest House and we would definitely go back. The staff is warm, friendly and very helpful. The rooms are spacious and clean. I would definitely recommend it...

This was my second stay at Scalabrini, and now I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Cape Town. Yes, the check-in process is weird, as is the system of keys and doors, but it is run as a sideline for a charity that does great work with refugees and homeless people, and it's good to know that by staying there I...

Scalabrini guest house was great value accommodation for us in Cape Town. The initial check in process was a bit strange, since the guest house is part of the Scalabrini Centre - so you have to find the office on the first floor which is dedicated to the guest house. However, the room was very clean and spacious with great...

“The rooms that face Commercial Road are much better ... with partially obscured views of Table Mountain and Signal Hill. The ones at the back have windows high up, so less natural light and the view is of the backs of office buildings.”
