Nice location, good breakfast and friendly owners (family run place). This is located in a quiet residential area, it's a good base to explore Cape Town. It offers a honesty bar where you can pour yourself a good drink after a day in town. It is a charming old building that has recently restored with taste, there is moquette in...

A wonderful welcome by the hosts who let us arrive early and drop our bags off after arriving on the early flight from the UK. A full breakfast was offered but great coffee and fruit was all we needed. Then we found our beautiful room was available. Showered and ready we were able to hit Cape Town for the day....

What a fabulous base for our first visit to Cape Town. We stayed in a suite for five nights. It was roomy and very comfortable. The whole guest house is beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was lovely, with a buffet and cooked breakfast to order. All staff were friendly and Anne and Bruce couldn't have been more helpful...

There is much to praise and nothing to criticise about the Underberg Guest House. The location, the house, the breakfasts, the cleanliness, and the hospitality were excellent. I now know the place I will stay the next time I'm in Cape Town.

Wonderful guest house with elegant furnishings, delicious breakfasts and attentive hosts Bruce and Anne who are ever obliging with any requests and excellent local knowledge. We sadly only had 3 days in Cape Town and their expert advice meant we utilised the time perfectly. The location is also quite safe and we were able to walk during the day down...

We stayed here for 2 nights in January 2016. The guesthouse is beautiful, and well looked after. The hosts Anne and Bruce are fantastic and helpful. The location is 5 minutes from Kloof Street, in a safe area. We would absolutely recommend it to anyone planning their trip here.

This is a lovely place to stay if you are looking for a personable, simple, clean accommodation. Great location and breakfast (continental and cooked English). Nothing was too much trouble; for example, we told our host (Bruce) that we were off to the beach and he leant us beach towels with no extra cost or hassle. The location is near...

Bruce and Anne are great hosts, which is what you need for a city break in a city such as Cape Town. We arrived with our minds set on the 'obvious' things we wanted to do - Table Mountain, Cape Point, Robben Island etc - but Bruce was very helpful at giving other suggestions, as you might say off-the-beaten-track. We...
