Anne and Bruce are very lovely landlady/landlord and always ready for giving help and / or advice if needed. Both are doing whatever is required to make your stay as much as comfortable. Also all the employees are doing a very good job. As well very pretty is the location near the city but nevertheless situated very quiet in the...

Underberg Guest House is perfectly located in the Tamberskloof neighborhood, so it was walking distance to most tourist areas (Long Street, Bo Kaap, City Centre). What wasn't walking distance was a short Uber ride (Table Mountain, Lion's Head, Signal Hill, V&A Waterfront). The neighborhood felt safe, and we often walked to dinner each night. The guest house is very clean....

We enjoyed our stay a lot! The location of the house is excellent! The house is very clean, house and room are nicely furnished, the hosts were very helpful and gave sightseeing tips, breakfast was good, the "trust bar" is a nice idea. We stayed in room 4 which is a little noisy because the kitchen is located directly beneath,...

We stayed at Underberg Guest House for the first 5 nights of our recent 3 week trip along the Garden route. It is a lovely old building full of character, calm, peaceful, spotlessly clean, in a great location for visiting Cape Town and with friendly, relaxed welcoming hosts in Anne and Bruce. The clear view of Table Mountain from the...

It is a nice house in walking distance to Long Street. We stayed there for 4 nights and it was a perfect starting point to explore Cape Town, the wine region and Cape Of Good Hope. Anne and Bruce are really great hosts. They had a lot of good tips and were always helpful and supported us in arranging everything...

We stayed here for 3 nights recently, on arrival we were met by Ann and Bruce - you would have thought they were long lost friends. My opinion of staying in Hotels ahead of guest houses has changed, if the Underberg is anything to go by then stay where you get personal friendly service. Breakfast was ace, and made to...

We have just returned from our holiday in South Africa. We enjoyed two days with Bruce and Anne in their beautiful and relaxing guesthouse in Tamboerskloof. From their welcome when we arrived until we were leaving they could not have done enough for us with plenty of information for Capetown and the surrounding area to the lovely restaurants close by....

This guest house is perfect in every way. The elegance and attention to detail of the decor is beautiful and yet no aspect of comfort was lost. Our room was comfortable, light and cool! The breakfast was scrumptious. Bruce and Ann could not have been more helpful and gave us a marvelous recommendation for dinner. We began our holiday here...
