The Hilton is in a decent-but-not-great location in the city center. You can walk down to Long Street during the day but will likely run into some shady characters. Do not walk here at night! The good news is that ubers/taxis are abundant and very, very cheap. It's easy to get

As a Diamond member I do expect certain benefits. No Honors desk check in, no one at the executive lounge. Our room key was given to a complete stranger and we where told it was an accident as our portfolio was open at the check in counter. We checked in at noon and this was

We found the hotel staff very helpful, the rooms were large enough and very comfortable. We had a good view from our rooms overlooking the mountains. It was central enough, not far from the Waterfront. We used the free service provided by the hotel to be taken to the

I recently stayed at the Hilton Cape Town, over the New Year period, a mistake I will not make again. The hotel is located slap bang, in the centre of the Cape Town Minstrels Carnival event, which was, putting it mildly, absolute hell, as the event interrupted my sleep for no

The waterfront is fab for food and has a great vibe. Great shops and local African buskers. You can take boat trips, even sunset trips, also take a boat to Robbin Island from there to see where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned. It’s always busy with locals and tourists. The Hilton runs a free bus to waterfront. Last November was our 20th visit, I think that says it all! Enjoy

Is this hotel located in a safe area? Thank you
Yes and no! We have walked in the evening around this area to go to some really nice local eateries and the only problem is people begging for money which can sometimes feel threatening but in fairness you would more likely be using taxis to move about or your own rental car. It is a lot cheaper than staying in a hotel at the waterfront and with all the money you save you can use that to pay for taxis and food. In conclusion like any main city you need to be switched on.
