I guess you get what you pay for, you could pay more to be more central, to have a swimming pool or to have bigger room so I cannot be harsh on this, quite basic hotel with small rooms and quite a distance from main town. But I got what I paid for with a smile which always helps.

We spent 3 enjoyable nights here. We had everything we needed for a reasonable price: A clean room, comfy bed, tea maker and mini fridge in room, good breakfast with eggs a la carte, extremely friendly and helpful staff, safe parking. The room was a bit small and dark, but nicely decorated as the whole House. The location in Gardens...

Loved this place. It's in a lovely quaint area of Cape Town with a nice view of Table Mountain. Room was comfortable with an outdoor covered balcony. The staff were helpful and friendly and of course breakfast is included as seems to be the case in Africa. It's walking distance to shops and a street market with nice souvenirs. Overall...

Stayed for a few nights on arriving in Cape Town. I'll not pretend any different - we knew that this was a budget hotel and we weren't expecting anything else. Fortunately Ikhaya Lodge proved to be a comfortable and peaceful place to stay. The staff were friendly, car parking was easy due to the public car park just outside, the...

Perfect location in the city to access restaurants, nightlife and main attractions. Lovely helpful staff. Nice hot breakfast. But the rooms are the best, big, breezy, clean and and beautiful African feel. Big soft king bed, hot water shower, excellent view of Table Mountain. Good bar across the road. Everything you need to enjoy Cape Town at your footsteps!

Dear Guest, Thank you for your gracious review. We are so happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay and that you loved the rooms as much as we do for their out-of-town safari feel. That you also enjoyed the ambiance of Dunkley Square which is quaint and peaceful and also blessed with vibey restaurants that offer delicious food. We...

I really enjoyed my short stay at the Ikhaya Lodge, more so because of the homely feel of the place - from the African setting and the staff here who are exceptionally friendly. Special thanks to Idah who went the extra mile to make sure my stay here was more than comfortable.

The best at Ikhaya lodge are the superfriendly people running it! But then there are also the rooms decorated with a lot of wood artwork, making you feel like you are on a safari. I especially liked the little winter garden in front of each room, where you can relax, with view on table mountain. Perfect!!!

The staff were exceptionally friendly, accomodating and helpful. A special word of thanks to Ruth who was a super star when I locked my keys in my car. She is a super star. We did however battle to connect with WiFi in the apartment.

The hotel was very nicely located, near restaurants, gardens and museums. It had excellent service. The room was much smaller than in the description on internet and had no balcony as was promised when we made the reservation. There was no TV or air condition in the room, only a fan on the floor. But in spite of this the...

We felt the good customer focus from initial email contacts prior to booking. Mr Frank met us at the airport as arranged and found the Eng/SA cricket match on the radio for us. Chido gave us a lovely warm welcome and Idah was a great help with everything we wanted to do. A clean well run place.
