As three friends looking to be close enough to good restaurants and Long Street but far enough away for a good nights sleep - Capetown Backpackers was the perfect place! When arriving, the staff at the reception were exceptional - very welcoming and ensured all our needs were met. The room was simple but efficient. With lots of bathrooms doted...

Close enough to walk to the city centre, far enough to not be disturbed by the long street party tourism. Very friendly personel and good beds. They do offer you right info to see the whole region and you can book tours and activies in the hostel.

First impressions appeared to be false. What could have been lovely was cut short with a patronising receptionist. We just couldn't communicate, my sister and I felt like we were asking for too much when very simply wanted a dormitory to sleep in and to pay separately. Unfortunate, we aren't fussy (in fact we were sleeping in our car for...

This is a great backpackers. Really felt like coming home the moment we stepped in. The facilities are basic, but good and staff is very very friendly! Silence starts at 10pm, so if you want a good nights sleep this is perfect. No worries if you want to party though, there is also plenty of place for that without disturbing...

Super service, nice staff. Nice and clean facilities and a lovely neighbourhood. It's located just next to Kloof Street with lots of nice restaurant and bars. The staff will help you booking tours, car rentals, recommend sights, etc. The rooms are nice and the kitchen is really good.

Myself and my friend have just stayed here for 10 days to start the beginning of our trip up to Joburg, and we loved staying here. As this is the first hostel we have ever stayed in we really enjoyed it. The location is perfect for resturants/cafes etc and 5 min walk from Long St, is also extremely close to...

Cape Town Backpackers, is the best! I stayed at Cape Town backpackers for 18 days, and it was amazing! The staff and the maids were some of the sweetest people I’ve ever met. I travelled to Cape Town alone, but I never felt alone, as there was always someone to hang out with, at the hostel. Everyone who was working...

Friendly staff, clean rooms and everything you need! You can book tours, drink beer in the hostel bar, cook your own food or order breakfast from the hostel chef. Also the hostel is close to the crowded "long street".

Great localization! If you are from abroad and you keep hearing how dangerous is South Africa then this hostel is something for you. Very easy, convenient location, you can travel everywhere using either hop on hop off MyCity. The bar downstairs and the storage of the luggage, helpful staff... very good!

One of the larger backpackers. Well positioned to trendy bars and restaurants, old Victorian building with all amenities, well priced and we'll equipped for tours. Comfortable mixed dorms, only drawback has been no hot water after trying twice today. Overall, GOOD and we'll priced.
