Situated against a mountain with a splendid view of the Karoo landscape, Lemoenfontein is a welcome heavenly oasis. With its comfortable accommodation, the swimming pool, an evening walk, and a hearty Karoo dinner and breakfast it is just what one requires after a long drive. Irene, Justice, Brilliant and Joshua are wonderful attentive staff. Would highly recommend. Thank you for...

Lemoenfontein is the true jewel of the Great Karoo. I have stayed there numerous times on business and during part of family holidays . The staff and accommodation is the pure gold. I always sleep like a baby at Lemoem. The atmosphere on the stoep during sunset dinners is unbelievable.Thank you Kobus , Inge and staff

Very relaxed stay at a place with true Karoo hospitality. Attentive service and very attentive hostess. Rooms are old-fashioned, but have all what is needed. Wonderful view from verandah, including viewing some animals.

We enjoyed 2 relaxing days away from the "city buzz" in the great expanse of the Karoo in this oasis situated 5kms outside of Beaufort West. Surrounded by big trees you will find the Victorian Manor House with wooden floors and high ceilings and "forever views" from the verandah. Very friendly and professional staff and service, nice, clean rooms, great...

We love Lemoenfontein and have now stayed over twice on the annual trek we make from Johannesburg to Hermanus. The room was great and faced on to an awesome Karoo view. The staff were so friendly, particularly Brilliant and Justine and the great woman who serviced our room. That the lodge is pet friendly was also great. Our Peke puppy...

Not only is Lemoenfontein the epitome of tranquility, their staff is always friendly and extremely helpful and their food is to die for. The manager, Kobus, went out of his way to help me when my car broke down, and Trudie made me feel like I came home to the cozy comfort of my grandmother's house!

This is our fourth visit to Lemoenfontein. We love the peace and silence, the friendly welcome, good, simple food and also, how well this old lodge is cared for and maintained. We were impressed with the beautifully renovated bathrooms - and, as ever, the luxuriously appointed bedroom with its giant bed. Slept really well - and totally refreshed for the...

What a lovely surprise, staff were so friendly, rooms were beautifully appointed, view is magnificent... So much more than expected when we drove in. We spent the afternoon by the pool, so peaceful and we even seen their delighted in house tortoise walking merrily around.
