I checked in on 29th September, hoping to get the best to compare what I had paid. I was given a tiny room with parking loads view, no network, electricity went off, no generator supplied to R116. What I paid it's double to compare what I could get from the Cbd hotel. I can't recommend anyone to experience the same
This hotel continues to provide great service, spectacular location and value for money unparalleled in the Sea Point/ Bantry Bay area. Staff were very attentive and really good with kids. Playground/ jumping castle was a hit with kids in the group. The food was really good overall. Rooms were tidy, had fantastic views and were very comfortable. We will certainly return in the future.
A special occasion made even more so by the excellent service and friendly staff. The only niggle was the load shedding which was nothing to do with the hotel. Thank you so much do a lively experience.
The President has so much potential! It will be great if staff will take service delivery serious and try to deliver on promises made on paper/ website. Hope to have a better experience if ever we decide to visit again.
The President Hotel is in a fabulous location, walking distance to the Sea Point foreshore and the Hop On Hop Off bus stop. The staff were always happy, friendly and attentive. The facilities were clean and well maintained.
My family and I had a great stay at The President hotel, friendly staff, helpful whenever a need arises, premises are clean and we felt safe and well taken care during our entire stay at the hotel, will definitely recommend to friends
I’m writing this review as I’m sitting here at the restaurant, l went to the bar and l spoke to a bar man called Luyanda. I asked him for a table and before he responded to me he walked away to attend to another guests. I find it very RUDE and disrespectful. Can’t a woman ask for a table alone and pay her bills? His colleagues try to calm me down as the could see l was getting upset. I understand it was busy because of Rugby match but this is President Hotel we are talking about. Please train your staff to treat everyone equally the same regardless of their race. That was very unprofessional and so unnecessary.
We stayed for a couple of days and it fitted perfectly for what we needed to do as tourists. It was quiet, clean and the breakfast was OK. We had the mountain rather than the sea view, but that didn't really matter as we were out most of the time. The staff were friendly and helpful. We booked the Hop-on, hop-off bus at the travel desk. The bus stops just outside the hotel and takes you to the V&A, the cable car station and the wine areas.
On balance, a really nice hotel - would recommend it to family and friends. Good location, clean, nice ambiance and everything one needs. Good value for money. Ask for a lamp in case there is load shedding whilst you are there - no lights in your room (whereas rest of hotel continues with no interruption).
Cape Town is such a huge tourist destination . If I knew that this was the only hotel a tourist experienced , I would be embarrassed ! The noise , the broken furniture , grubby rooms and the feeling that it is mass market - what a shame !
