We stayed here the last 3-4 nights of a two week South African vacation (January 2009). Prior to here we were in Jo'burg, Cape Town, and Kruger National Park. I think we could've skipped Jo'burg and Kruger and stayed here a week and a half and Cape Town a few days. It is truly a 6 star hotel/residence. The staff...

We stayed 4 nights as a special treat at the end of an extended South African holiday. At the price we were expecting outstanding service and quality but were disappointed. The check-in process got off to a good start with the valet parking and welcome but came short when the internet password was a problem and the room layouts were...

Travelling from London I expected amazing things. Unfortunately that wasn't the case The breakfast was the best thing about the hotel. Our room was dark and smelt of damp, tv didn't work, telephone didn't work so we asked to be moved. We were moved into a smaller room but was happy not to have a smelly room Service: not great...

I stayed at the Palace for two nights and the whole experience was fantastic. I was checked in promptly and my room was ready immediately. There was a welcome card, bottle of wine and fruit bowl in the room compliments of the house. The room was spacious with a balcony. Some people complain that the rooms are a bit dated...

I was there for the opening weekend and haven't been back for about 20 years. Flew in for breakfast. The place is as pristine as it was when they built it. The breakfast buffet was the best I have ever had. Highly recommend this place. Very glad to see how well they have maintained it.

We have just spent a week at the Palace and are so impressed by the staff who are so helpful, courteous and friendly, the spectacular hotel and grounds and especially the most amazing breakfast buffet I have ever seen, and we have stayed at the Emirates Palace and the Burj Al Arab. There is only one thing that has stopped...

We had a two nights stay at The Palace with about 20 of our friends over the weekend. I have always been excited to stay here as the place is beautiful and the service is usually impeccable — however I have not stayed here in about 2 years. The amount of degradation that this hotel has gone through is phenomenal....

Savita Vig, Duty Manager , was very help full in sorting out the problems and frustrations that occurred. This was the first time that there was someone quick and resourceful able to assist as we needed her. Thank you for your efforts!

So lets start with what sucks: WiFi is prehistoric, you have a daily limit of 250Mb per room, it is hard to reconnect after leaving the room, the login process keeps failing when using chrome on an Android device. Old school...It is extremely frustrating, considering that everyone in the resort is a paying guest of Sun International. The service at...
