Fantastic! Great Chalet sleeping at least 3. Clean well equipped , bring your own beer / food & firewood or you will be stuck! I have recorded my road trip from Cape Town to Kimberley on my blog- Moiras Travel Blog

We loved the chalets which are extremely well equipped, the views from them are stunning and the peace and quiet so relaxing. The gravel road in can have a few corrugations but if you take your time they are not a problem for any type of vehicle. In fact they my were grading the road whilst we were there. One...

Very clean and basic but with everything necessary for self catering.Hot water and electric cooker available but no heating except for wood fire which doubles as a brilliant indoor BBQ. Be warned as it can get extremely cold at night ! Needless to say the flowers were breathtaking even at the end of the season when we visited. The two shortish...

Last minute dinner plans lead us to Skilpadvlie for dinner, what a pleasant find, warm hospitality, Cosy fire place on what turned out to be a quiet evening. The calamari was fresh, soft and crispy, really well made. Good quality wood fire pizza and I had the special which was oxtail and mash. A good hearty portion and very tender,...

Beautiful beautiful flowers. We only went for the day did not use any facilities. The service at the shop was very good. They were closing when we came from our walk but they were so kind to quickly open the shop for us again. The flowers are really something to see. You can try to put it in words or...

This was first National Park we visited on our bus tour and were not disappointed in any way. We saw a vast range of Namaqualand flowers in the various fields, which were it was spectactular. It great being driving around and stopping on several occasions to take in this brilliant nature.

We stayed at the self cater cottage #4 at Skilpad, Namaqua Park. I was very pleasantly surprised at the attractive design and layout of the cottages with their great views, and the seclusion of the camp - not hundreds of tourists all jostling for space and food etc like in the Kruger Park. The park is also spectacular, the flora...

A lovely reserve to drive around, offering spectacular views of flowers in abundance. The views from the koppies are outstanding. A must visit destination in this area. A slow drive to adsorb the surroundings is essential, so are binoculars!

Fabulous little chalet in the national park. Really well appointed with everything you could want. Clean and neat, comfy beds (2 singles) and a great indoor braai. You can buy wood at reception....be sure to buy a couple of bags as it is very dry and burns quite quickly. The fireplace draws really well (no smoke at all) and heats...
