This is our second stay at White House Lodge! Susann is a perfect host! She prepaired breakfast for us to bring to the Kruger Park. She phoned a restaurant and booked us a table for New Years Eve. There is a fridge and a "winecellar" where you can by water, cold beers and diffrent wines. We have stayed in the two different cottages and the bigger one is to prefer with the kitchen.

The White House Lodges is just outside White River set in lovely grounds with good security and a view of the valley. Susann was there to greet us on arrival and also provided an evening meal as requested in advance. There is a fridge freezer available for guests to use and an honesty bar with a good selection of wines, etc. Breakfast was continental style with an additional choice of egg dishes. Recommended B&B accommodation.

We received a warm welcome from our host Susan. Nothing was too much trouble for her to ensure that our stay was comfortable and relaxing. Lovely room with a balcony and views over the garden and beyond. There were various options for breakfast (hot and cold) to include eggs/bacon, avocado, fresh fruit salad etc. We liked the selection of wines and refrigerated soft drinks that were available by means of an honesty box. Complimentary fruit and muffins were also available. There is a lovely pool area surrounded by trees and shrubs. Our favourite spot was to sit on the swing seat at the bottom of the garden (an elevated position)to admire the view. There is a long drive with security gates which leads to the property. White House Lodge is a short drive to the nearest town.

I took my mom out to celebrate Mother's day and be away from home. The white house lodge was the perfect space for that as it's perfectly located within nature and has stunning views. At breakfast, there was wide variety of foods to pick from and the host was super friendly.

I stayed at the Gogo's cottage with my mom for 10 days while we alternated rest days and days in the Kruger Park. We had a fantastic time, in no small part due to the helpful suggestions of Suzann of where to go and what to do. We saw lots in the park based on suggested routes and saw other lovely places in and around White river. The accomodations are first class and the property is nice and big, so you can take in the peaceful surroundings. The variety at breakfast is a treat and we enjoyed 2 very tasty dinners there too. And it is so nicely situated near the airport, that makes arriving and leaving a breeze. Will definitely be comming back whenever we have a chance!

The stay at the white house lodge was excellent. what stood out most for me was the communication pertaining to the booking and other logistics during our stay. The place is also secured and one can feel safe. The kids loved the swimming and they could move around the lodge with ease.

We had a great one-night stay at this property. Gogo's Cottage was private and spacious. The property is secure as well. We requested a dinner which was a really good burger and fries as we were travelling with my 12-year-old son. Although it was cold, we swam in the pool for a couple of minutes, pool towels were available. Breakfast had many options. The host also answered our questions we had on travelling to Kruger the next day, specifically in deciding which park gate to use.

Wow. What a place... Planned as a one night stay between flights, we arrived to stay two nights at Susan and Detlef and was magical. Nested on a large property, of beautiful view, with a sense of privacy and safety, care and I would say a touch of luxury, White House was the best report quality vs. price we had on three weeks spent in South Africa. Susan waited for us at the airport, showed us the place and suggested a trip for the next day, And spent a lot of time. to arrange, last minute, a perfect trip for us! 😊 We had dinner at the lodge and food was amazingly well cooked, from fresh ingredients. A very good small cellar was available, too. Close to Kruger National Reserve, Blyde River Canyon and Panorama Route, White House deserves longer stays. Owners are wonderful people and their personality shine over the place. We would wish to return...

Good Morning,
We do offer dinner for a minimum of 4 guests.
Therefore we need to know that prior to the arrival.
Otherwise there are a lot of nice restaurants in the area. All in a radius of about 10 km. The closest one to us is "Da Loose Mongoose" which is only 3,5 km from us.
