We stayed 4 days at the Avalone Guest House in July. We loved Monica very much and the service was excellent! We had the best breakfast! The rooms were clean and everything was available. Het was zoals aangekondigd helemaal in orde!

Our group arrived after dark and greeted by a bubbly welcoming Monica the owner. The gardens are well looked after and so are the guests. Between a family of mongoose who venture into the house and the killer goldfish, we had fantastic two nights. The breakfast buffet is more than fantastic. I can recommend Avalone to all who travel this...

Visited on the spur of the moment as we had been let down by our previously booked apartment elsewhere in St. Lucia. Monica was so welcoming and made us all feel at home in this little gem of a place! The rooms were very comfortable and the breakfasts were wonderful! We sat having breakfast each morning overlooking the tropical gardens,...

Thank you for this lovely review, I am really going to miss all you lovely people (friends) as the Guest House has been sold and I am to leave at the end of October.

We spent three nights here whilst travelling in Kwazulu Natal. On arrival we were told that the famous "Monica" who is so widely mentioned in TA reviews was away for the week. We were "looked after" by a rota of assorted staff, who did day, evening and night shifts! On our first night we were totally alone in the building...

We had the best time in St Lucia and Avalone Guest House was great. Monica was an excellent host, the rooms were nice and the breakfast very good. It is within walking distance to the town, although you have to be on the lookout for hippos as night. The guest house had a nice pool and lovely garden. Monkeys and...

Visited late one evening with a friend and Monica, the manager made us welcome and rustled up a great meal and drinks. We ate in the beautiful warm tropical gardens and found Monica to be very helpful and friendly. It was so pleasant that I returned several mornings for breakfast only to be joined by the pesky little monkeys. Breakfast...

We loved our stay with Monica (and her friend Alfie) at Easter. They were friendly, caring and attentive to our needs without being over powering. We looked forward to the gorgeous breakfasts every morning (so much choice!) and the local information Monica gave when we were planning our days out. On our return each day we all enjoyed chilling out...

We stayed here as part of a safari package at Christmas and could not have had a more co,for table stay. Room was lovely as was all the accommodation, but the open air lounges and verandah (excellent for chilling with a book and a cold drink and the most gorgeous setting for the sublime breakfast) was just something else. The...

Loved the pool, modern inviting decor, open air breakfast dining, comfortable rooms The manager didn't hesitate when we asked if she'd pick us up in town (8 blocks or so) in the dark after dinner as we weren't keen on the prospect of confronting hippos en route. The room was spacious for 2 of us and it had coffee-making equipment....

We'd visited Avalone Guest House a few years ago and thoroughly enjoyed our stay so we decided to take a second bite of the cherry. Monica and her team run an excellent service. She could not have been more attentive and other guests to whom we spoke thought the same. Breakfast out on the terrace overlooking the lush garden and...
