I felt like I entered another world when I walked into this gorgeous lodge. Thailand perhaps? Situated within convenient walking distance to town, you are transported to another world when you walk through the door. Rooms are very well equiped with aircon, a fridge, and nice linen. There is a cosy and beautiful lounge with an honesty bar, and the... More

This was my second stay at the lodge. The rooms are gorgeous, the pool glorious, and the owners, Lorens and Elphia are effortlessly kind and helpful. Recommend the hippo cruise (I went twice) booked with Heritage Tours. Umlilo is unique, charming and I will be back in a few months for sure.

We stayed at Umlilo Lodge in early March. Our room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast each day was a nice assortment. They prepared our eggs any way we requested, there was a variety of sides, and the fresh fruit and coffee were wonderful. Our hosts were also extremely accommodating. They made arrangements for us to tour... More

Our diving operator (scuba addicts) arranged our stay here after diving Mozambique. We were quit suprised by the setting and the atmosphere and by the friendly reception. After skipping breakfast the first day because early leave for a game drive we realy enjoyed complete breakfast the second day. Great stay at umlilo and we can really recommend this place.

My family and I had a wonderful stay at Umlilo. The owners were very welcoming and made us feel at home. The grounds were like a tropical botanic garden, with towering trees and flowers all around. The water features added to the relaxing vibe. We were out touring most of the days, but wished we had more time to enjoy... More

We stayed for 3 nights on a Safari tour with Heritage. We were put up in Umlilo Lodge instead on their own one and I'm glad we were. First impression is walking into a steaming jungle with palms ferns and many other tropical plants. There is a bubbling stream running through at the property containing non tropical Koi. The room... Just spent an amazing 3 days in St Lucia SA. Stayed at Umlilo Lodge organised by Heritage Tours for their inclusive 3 day safari. Host Lourens and his wife couldn't have been more welcoming. We loved the room and the gardens. Breakfast amazing. Evening meals local fare. I wouldn't hesitate to book again. Well done Heritage Tours and Umlilo Lodge.... More
