My wife and I spent two very pleasant days in one of the chalets at this resort. Everything was perfect. Although it was a quiet weekend after the holidays with more staff than guests around, nothing was too much trouble for the staff The chalet was superbly furnished and very modern and had all the kitchen equipment one would need...

If you really want to get away from it all in safety, there is no better place than the exotic Mount Sheba with its excellent staff, manager and lay-out. There are about 10 walking-routes, (some quite taxing, be warned) while the dinner and breakfast add value for money. Each unit has a fire place, often two, as it gets rather...

The employees, from reception to the cleaners, are all exceptionally friendly and willing to assist. The dinners are exceptional being a 4-course with a selection in each of the courses. Cost of the dinners are included in the rate. Rooms are comfortable, clean but not exceptional. The fire place is terrific and makes for a lovely cosy stay. Road to...

Only got to stay 1 night here which was a shame. It is set in the remote surrounded by the most stunning views. Beautiful walking tracks. A good place to stay for a few days to get away from the world. Has wifi but reception in the rooms is not good. Rooms are very spacious with a wood fire if...

Don't attempt the access road with a vehicle without high ground clearance after the rains (or perhaps at all). The dirt portion is not that long, probably 12-13 kms, but you do not want to use your sports car there. The chalet we stayed in for a long weekend stay was larger than the norm for this type of timeshare...

Dear djza, Thank you for your beautiful review about our Timeshare. Feedback from our Guests is the only true yardstick of our service delivery and this is why Mount Sheba was a Finalist at RCI for Top Gold Crown Resort of the year 2016. We are looking forward hosting you again.

We were disappointed in the hotel accommodations. The chalets or cottages as they are called look lovely but the same cannot be said of the hotel which is unattractively painted to look like a cell block in a prison. A very gloomy setting. In the hotel room itself, the lighting is totally inadequate. I had to strain to find my...

Booked in from the 18th to the 20th March, paid full amount upfront. Got to the hotel late afternoon, when booking in we got told that the dining area was closed for guests and we would be eating by the pool,we were never told this when we first booked. We were given room 2 in the hotel, warning signs came...

Mount Sheba was a highlight of our South Africa trip. As a place to stay, it was first class: spacious, comfortable, clean rooms, welcoming staff, delicious food in an atmospheric restaurant. The hotel takes a long time to get to, on bumpy roads, but it is worth it, and we wished we'd been able to stay for more than one...

We spent a week at this beautiful place, in a chalet . We had booked with some trepidation, as it seems so isolated . But the trip from Johannesburg ( about 4 hours all up) was worth it: an interesting journey best done in daylight. The location is at the top of a mountain, drenched in fog when we arrived...
