Welcome to your home in the bush. Tomjachu is an exclusive, family-owned private nature reserve set in over 550 hectares of game fenced mountain bushveld, located within the Crocodile Valley Nature Conservancy. Just 20 minutes from Nelspruit it overlooks the southern boundary of the Kruger National Park and the great Crocodile River valley. Whether you are looking for adventure or relaxation, with family, friends, or your loved one, Tomjachu offers something for everyone. On our trails, tracks and roads you can mountain bike through the bush on easy or challenging routes, hike amongst the abundant plains game and through mountains and valleys, go for a game drive or guided walk with a knowledgeable guide, enjoy a night-sky safari, and try your hand at fishing for bass and bream in our dams. Or simply unwind by the pool, listening to the orchestra of over 265 bird species, as the fresh mountain air trickles up from the valley below.

Will definately go again. The service and staff was extremely friendly and efficient. Totally adore our sundowner safari and the food was to die for! Was so peaceful and quiet. Accommodation was good and very clean and tidy. Saw some wildlife from our cottage and the bird life was amazing.

A wonderful place to really chill and be able to walk around in the african bush. The food was great and the views breath taking. Make sure you get up for the sun rise, it is absolutely spectacular. The service is warm and welcoming.

Everything about Tomjachu exceeded our expectations. The views are breathtaking taking. Every detail of the accommodations and decor are stunning. The staff went above and beyond in every area (reception, kitchen staff, safari). We loved seeing the zebras, giraffes etc. right at our hotel. We enjoyed the delicious meals & the convenience of the honesty bar. The staff arranged a safari on site as well as a safari at Kruger and both experiences were wonderful. We had some hiccups in our travel plans (due to our own error) and Jaydean worked miracles to help us through them. The drive way in is a little brutal but we just embraced it as part of the bush experience.

Good day, Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are delighted that you enjoyed your time here with us at Tomjachu. We are happy that we could assist in sorting out your travel plans and it did not affect your travels and experience. I'm afraid given our location in the mountains the roads are an adventure to drive, however we are trying new methods to make them more comfortable to drive. We hope we will see you again in the near future! From the Tomjachu Team

An absolute haven! We are quite a big family, always trying to find a spot for a weekend! The villa is a massive house with more than ample space for everyone. We had a wonderful time around the boma and other outside areas. We were spoiled with delicious food served on our stoep! Friendly staff!!!

stayed in the Rock House- our second time. lovely for a couple stay. Excellent views & bush walks, normally very quiet but construction being done to main lodge close by, so workers / equipment noise.

We had just one day at Tomjachu, and wish we had more! The grounds were incredible and there was so much to do. We saw zebra, giraffe, various antelope species, hiked on the various trails and enjoyed the absolutely stunning view from the main homestead. Staff was amazing and we will be back!
