Our room was absolutely immense and wonderfully air conditioned, a rarity! Big bed, big sitting area, private balcony overlooking the pool and landscaped grounds. Definitely 5 stars for the property. But the staff needs some work. It took three people to complete our check in. Slowly. The woman who showed us to our room seemed depressed and sluggish. Service in...

Quick comments. I am sorry that your check-in was slow. I have explained in another response to a polite reviewer that we have been doing some training. It is not normally a slow process and our cheerful staff and service are among our most complimented aspects, so I don't know what could have made her unhappy, do you? And I...

The proprietor, Chris, who is also a journalist and writer has a sense of humour, as is evident when you read the information booklet in your room and various notices around the bar and restaurant. The Brits will get it but pity Jonny Foreigner! We are greeted with a warm friendly smile and taken to the bar area, where we...

Once again the Rissington Inn delivered (although we had no doubt it would). This time we went for a Hillside Suite with private pool which we were more in than out. The staff were lovely and the food was great, breakfast and dinner. Get yourself there. Thanks for a great start to our holiday.

We are creatures of associations. We attach things and persons and associate it with memories, good or bad. To me, Rissington Inn is one of those places where I love to look back with the fondest memories of traveling in South Africa. I cannot tell how lucky we were to 'bumped' to this hidden gem whilst looking for a place...

The place is beautiful and the overall feel of the resort is simply amazing. We booked a standard double room and it was a great disappointment, as room was very small and it was smaller than the pictures shown on the website.( So avoid their standard room, if you are looking for a comfortable stay) On our request room was...

I never quite know how to respond politely to reviews that are as obviously nonsensical as this one. Firstly, our standard rooms are called 'budget' rooms, we have only two of them, they are identical and they are exactly as pictured on the website. Obviously - because the photos on the website are taken in those rooms. The budget rooms...

My stay spanned 10 days. The grounds were beautifully manicured and tranquil; my room, called "Ivory", was spacious , clean and quiet; hot water was abundant and air conditioning excellent. The food was very good. The staff was exceptionally helpful.

I was speechless at its breathtaking beauty. Staff were effortlessly and naturally warm and friendly, and nothing too much trouble. This place is a sanctuary of peacefulness, inspiration and total calm. Biggest thanks go to Chris - the owner and Shirley - assistant manager, but all the staff were lovely and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was...

Best place I've ever stayed (and I've been to Butlin's!). The team are so friendly and welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. We got a free upgrade to a bigger room for absolutely no other reason than it was available, so a huge thank you to Chris & Shirley for 'sorting it'. The food was awesome, the rooms were...

Last minute decision to go away for a few days. Was a real gem. Staff friendly, owner Chris was wonderful. Food fab, New Years eve party one of the best. Real attention to detail in rooms. Would recommend to anyone.

We booked here for new years. It is rated number 1 in Hazeyview. Chris the manager welcomed us with a friendly and laid back atmosphere. You receive complementary drinks on arrival (although we somehow managed to miss ours). We had a ground floor budget room which was perfect for our needs. The new years festivities was over shadowed by a...

Hi - and thanks for the cheerful and positive review. We really enjoyed having you around - our first ever Estonian-SA-British combo - and I am sorry your stay was marred by the difficult French woman (who has had her nonsensical say in the French section of this site). We did our best, as you know, but the lack of...
