Friendly staff, gym could do with a bit of improvement, the rooms are comfortable, good location because it is located next to the road leading to KNP. I was totally unimpressed with their breakfast offer and my son highlighted this unpleasantness to the manager on duty. One was not expecting a 5 star breakfast offer, but have a variety of cereals and fruit. Most cereals cost less than R 50/ kg.
No air con in the room, no door in washroom, no hot water available, below average breakfast with just one or two options, and the price charged was equivalent to a 4 star hotel. People were playing loud music at 2 am in the night and there was no one to stop them.
I used this place as a base for the KNP , however the time spent there was just awful. parking is a major problem, there are people coming in and out the whole night . Music blaring until 3 . Staff very unfriendly
I had an amazing time with family, the rooms are clean and spacious. It was very comfortable and the beds are big, bathrooms very clean. I enjoyed every moment I spent there, it made our holiday special. Thank you to Jeanet who made sure our needs were all met.
Thank you. The honey moon suite needs full cutlery, a microwave, dishcloth and plates. You need to find a solution for the mosquitos as we had a had an army in the room; rather keep dried or plastic flowers in the room as we had dead roses in dirty water. No shower caps were provided. The staff were super friendly and helpful.
I think they should include breakfast charges in the quote. I was taken by surprise to be told that breakfast is an extra R95 per person on top of the booking charges. Otherwise the place is ideally located for exploring the Kruger and other surrounding areas. The staff are very friendly too. Located near Hazeyview business centre so restaurants are abound . Guest house meals costs sound ridiculous at R180 per person. I must admit I did not even bother to check what they had on menu because the pricing put me off for a small family of 4.
This was a very average place to sleep, but everything was clean. The shower was nice and strong, the bed was comfortable and there is both fan & aircon in the room. Neither the kettle or the fridge was plugged in, but once those were sorted, everything worked. Parking is not that easy, but was safe behind a locked gate.
The guest house smells terrible - like mold and dirt combined. The beds are not comfortable. At 10pm at night I was woken by loud noise by the reception area - nothing was done about it - it carried on for about an hour. My 'warm breakfast' for R200.00 was a bowl of All Bran flakes with warm milk. No coffee available at breakfast - you have to ask for everything that should be available to you.
What is on the website and what you get is not the same. When arriving at reception the whole place smelt of fish. I asked if it was for dinner and she said no, it was for lunch. The gym is also the store room for paint, old carpets etc. Pool is less than half full. Carpets are all stained. Bathroom plug does not seal. Some rooms done have water if they are fully booked. Furniture is in a bad state, coming a part. Garden is over grown. At R700.00 per person per night. I am horrified that this place could receive any stars. I truly think that this place needs to be revisited.
