We stayed 4 nights at the Abangane and enjoyed every minute. Ridwaan told us that "Abangane" means friends and that's how we felt during our stay. The location is great (10 min. from Phabeni gate), the room was spacious and very clean and the meals- fantastic! On our second day we asked for a packed breakfast ,and got so much...

I stayed at Abangane a few years ago with my family, and decided to revisit the lodge again after the great experience last time, hoping for an encore! And I wasn't disappointed; warm personal welcome from Klaus and Ridwaan on my day of arrival followed by an absolutely delicious diner from their new kitchen magician Reagan. I stayed for 3 nights...

We were truly spoiled to arrive at this luxurious guest house and find we were the only guests. In spite of this the evening meal was perfect and the steaks cooked perfectly. Klauss and Ridwaan were attentive and charming hosts. The gardens and pool were stunning, although my husband seems to have taken more pictures of the beautiful dogs who...

My sister Carol and I travelled from the UK at the beginning of Sept 2011 and had our first 3 night stay at Abangane. Wonderful breakfasts with lots of choice. If you like good quality food with flair at dinner this might just be the place for you - no choice but not really needed, if you don't like the...

We enjoyed our stay at Abangane Lodge but probably did not experience it at it’s best due to fact that the owners were leaving on our final day for their own vacation. This caused us to miss our pre-booked dinner for the second night, something that we truly missed as we were exhausted from all of our traveling and safaris...

Dear thea 123 Thank you very much for your positive review and we are glad that you enjoyed your stay with us. We are nevertheless sad that we disappointed you and you did not experience your stay and our service as exceptional. It is correct that on your day of departure we also started our overseas trip, but that should...

The staff at Abangane are very friendly, helpful and do make sure that your stay is a memorable one. it was my second stay and will certainly do the trip again. Delicious dinner we had.

Super reception, super rooms and super meal. Our only regret was that we didn't stay longer. This is a real gem just outside Hazyview. The location has a wonderful view, is tranquil, but yet convenient. From here day trips to the Kruger, Pilgrim's rest or Blyde River Canyon are all possible and easy. The food was excellent and beautifully presented...

Exquisite surroundings, beautiful finishes, heavenly beds, excellent breakfast, superb service, tranquil surroundings......certainly a GEM!! I loved every second. I could really relax undisturbed, without hearing anything remotely disturbing(except my colleagues disastrous coughing next door.....but that was non of Abanganes doing! :-) Thank you, Ridwaan and Klaus, for all the personal touches, fresh linen, sparkling rooms and lovely pool surroundings, where...
