From arrival to departure we were treated like royalty, the staff were very accommodating and friendly. The spa treatments and tented suites are amazing. The atmosphere is absolute tranquility. We also enjoyed a half day private game drive to the Kruger which was great. The outdoor bathroom setting is an absolute highlight. Wish we stayed another night.

Summerfields made a much needed girls retreat that much more special with the superior customer service and great amenities. The team was all very accommodating, warm and friendly. We stayed in the Stonehouse which is absolutely lovely for groups that would like privacy and the option to cook for yourself. Incredible stay and well worth the price!

We only got a one night stay rather than two as planned due to a flight change and on arrival we were so disappointed we weren’t staying longer! Although it was raining, the location and facilities are stunning and we had such a warm welcome from all of the staff. Having stayed in another hotel where the food wasn’t great, we were so pleased to have such a lovely meal in a cosy setting, the food was great. On return to our room, the team had run a bath and decorated for our honeymoon with a bottle of champagne on chill and a fruit platter which was a lovely touch. Would recommend to all and just gutted we didn’t get to stay longer!

After a rainy start, our stay improved immensely the second day: a nice breakfast; a very good spa treatment by Munshi; a move to the honeymoon suite; female staff that was very hospitable and warm; a nicely presented lovely meal; a hot fire in the restaurant. It was lovely and we experienced two nice relaxing days, after being on safari for 16 days…. This stay was meant to be just that; and we got what we came for.

What a charming place! It’s set on a farm just outside of Hazyview and on the banks of the Sabie river. The staff really understand the concept of customer service and made us feel incredibly well looked after. The tented rooms are gorgeous and very private - the outdoor bathroom overlooking the water was something truly special. The food was to die for and the spa is one of the best ones I’ve ever been to. This is one of those establishments that we will return to again and again. We felt truly pampered and well rested after our stay there! Thank you to the incredible team at Summerfields!

My friends and I visited this spa on the last two days of our holiday after a busy safari ,so was perfect to unwind before the long trip home It’s very unusual with tented accommodation right on the river , which is beautiful.the outdoor shower and bath was stunning The bar area was so relaxing on the river and food in the restaurant delicious I also had a massage which was brilliant and worth the pain to get rid of my knots ! I slept like a log that night Highly recommend a couple of nights here

We had such a wonderful stay at Summerfields. Truly the most beautifully decorated suites and calm setting you could hope for. The food and wine at the restaurant were exquisite. The staff is the cherry on top, very friendly and available at all times to assist us with any requests. We will definitely be travelling back to SA and making a stop over at Summerfields.

This was our first visit to "Summerfields Rose Resort and Spa" and it will definitely not be our last. We planned to celebrate my wife's 40th birthday and our 10-year marriage anniversary at a resort that offers something unique. Upon doing a lot of research, I stumbled across "Summerfields Rose Resort and Spa" and from the minute I reviewed their website and TripAdvisor reviews, I was convinced that it had to be the resort for our celebration. Every aspect of Summerfields service exceeded our expectations, from the Luggage Assistants to Reception through to Spa, Cleaning Services and Restaurant Staff, all consistently offered exceptional service with a common goal of wanting to make you feel welcome, treasured and taking care of every need for the duration of your stay. We've stayed in River Facing Luxury Tent 4 and the tents are really luxurious with an awesome view of the surrounding vegetation and the Sabie River, with the sounds of the river and birdlife audible. A spacious room with a comfortable bed and an outdoor bathroom having an open-air shower and a bath that overlook nature. The Spa treatments were very relaxing with the best possible location imaginable, right on the banks of the majestic Sabie River. The restaurant serves unmatched quality and good portions of food and it is visible that a lot of effort and care goes into preparing meals. Above all, cleanliness through-out the resort is at an unbeatable level. It is clearly visible that "Summerfields Rose Resort and Spa" really offers what you see on their website and they put you as the customer first, to ensure that you enjoy the beautiful surroundings and experience exceptional service (5 stars and beyond) all the time. This is really a 5 star resort and I can, without any doubt, recommend them to anyone looking for "that perfect place". We will be returning soon, that is for sure! And last, but not the least, the Macadamia Soft Serve and Duke's Gin is really delicious. Thanks to all at "Summerfields Rose Resort and Spa" that made our stay "Magical". A lot of adventure activities are down the road such as Quad-Biking (best in SA, trust me), River Rafting, etc (offered by GZ Adventures and Induna Adventures). Game Drives at the Kruger National Park is also offered. We used "Elephant Herd Tours and Safaris" and can really recommend them (Guide: Trevor)…

The warm welcome, considered lodge design plan, river-facing rooms, tranquil spa retreat, organic culinary experience, crafted Duke gin, as well as the knowledge of how delicately staff are treated, managed and up-skilled, were all impressive individual factors, enveloped in a pre-eminent travel package. Of the staff, Sandra, Lawrence and Blessed were always the most professional, yet friendly in their demeanours, accommodating in their kind gestures, engaging in conversation, and endearing in their willingness to help book adventure experiences around the area.
