We stayed for three nights at the Lebombo guesthouse. This guest house was designed for corporate stays, and the four bedrooms are separate to the living area so difficult for families with children. Although the view over the river is spectacular, One is really too far to see any animals. The guest house was clean, but the constant smell of...

Stayed at Olifants from the 11/02 to 14/02. The room was well maintained and well serviced. The camp is well maintained, the staff was friendly but could be more helpful. The shop and restaurant is worth visiting and the food quality is good. I will visit the camp again I did go on a Night drive and enjoyed the experience...

We had a night here after we first slept in Lower Sabie. This camp is run by the same. The cabins here, unlike Lower Sabie, all had their own toilet and shower. For the rest they look very close together. This camp is a little higher on a hill and the view of the river is really beautiful! The restaurant...

Location was great and amenities were nice. We would totally stay here again. The rondavels are the way to go. Great safari trips out of the rest camp too. Lots of wildlife sightings in the river while eating dinner.

Always one of my favourite camps in Kruger. Whoever was in charge of positioning the fridge in our unit didn't give it much thought. In all the other camps the fridge is outside behind a security gate to prevent baboons to get to it. Here however they just plonked the fridge mid room. Seriously? Time for a renovation too, its...

The camp has a good location for tours into the surrounding area. The premises are well mantainded but the accomodation could be improved. The camp offers all kind of services. An view point to the Olifants river is available.

We stayed in Nshawu guest cottage. This is a four bedroom unit with a private deck overlooking the river. I have been in SA for 30 years and have visited many spectacular spots - Lekkerwater in De Hoop, the cottages at Tendele in the Drakensburg come to mind. But this guest cottage in Kruger is up their with the best....

The visited the Olifants Camp 1974. Not much has changed. The Restaurant is now run by a one of the Big south african chains. She same chain runs the restaurants in: Letaba Camp, Satara Camp and Lower Sabie. That means if your route follows these Camps (north - south) you have the same boring choice!! We booked an early morning...

This is a well maintained camp, and most things work. The staff are friendly and helpful. However, the accommodation, whilst being clean, the fittings and linen are tired. Accommodation is basic. A place to rest, and sitting on the balcony of your bungalow watching the game come down to the river to drink is relaxing. The drives in the area...

I have been going to Olifants for decades. Whilst the setting remains as beautiful as ever, I have noticed a considerable deterioration in the facilities. We took three villas - three out of three fridges and two out of three air conditioners did not work. Furthermore, there was a terrible sewerage smell coming out of one of the villas. The...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Guests that visit Olifants will be exposed to an unforgettable window of Africa. The camp is situated a top a hill which towers several hundred feet over the Olifants river. Views from the lookout platforms allow one to see the river below, just as a soaring eagle would survey it, as it hunts from the skies. ... more   less
