We have stayed at Satara twice - one night in November 2014 and two in August 2015 - and both times were blown away by the amazing wildlife viewing opportunities in the area. Saw four lions kill a hippo calf at the dam just around...More

It just doesn't get any better than this. Cozy, comfortable accommodation and all the wildlife of Kruger. It's basic, but what more do you need than a comfortable bed, a hot shower and a braaie? And of course as always in Kruger, the staff are...More

Great basic accommodtion, right in park. Just the basics, bring in food and drink as only limited selection available on site. Beds were comfortable and unit was clean. Lots of animals around, but large animals are locked out. Would stay here again

Yes provided you have your own rotor, you will have a signal. I am not sure if there is Wi-Fi near or at the restaurant area.

Hi! Did you stay in a campsite or a rondavel at Satara? I'm camping at Satara this weekend and was wondering if each campsite has a braai or if I should bring my own. I know from my childhood holidays that the rondavels all have braais but I don't know about the campsites. When I camped in the drakensberg, there were some of those little metal braais with three legs but a large group of rather selfish people just took like three of them and set them up in their campsite for the whole time they were there! I was wondering if I might find the same sort of thing at the Satara campsite and find myself unable to cook if I don't bring my own braai.
