Perhaps we should have visited Kruger before Sabi Sands and then we would have a different opinion of Jock. It is much in need of refurbishment and was very disappointing to see as based on the reviews expectations were much higher. We stayed at the main lodge, #2 and our friends were in #7. The layout is very good but...

I couldn't have asked for a better experience. 5 stars in the very heart of Kruger National Park. Everything they do from pickup at the airport is laser focused on getting you the best wildlife viewing experience possible. Their location means some of the best sightings are just outside the lodge's gate. I saw all of the "big 5" within...

We have been back nearly two weeks and I am still missing this place!! The adventure starts when you are picked up from the airport - we saw quite a few animals on the journey to the hotel. Our room was lovely and had everything we needed. The decking area was great and had amazing views. I couldn't fault the...

I have been visiting the Kruger since 1981 and seen and driven past Jock on every visit. If only I had stopped 36 years ago !! Absolutely first class for animal spotting, food and luxurious accommodation. I will not visit Kruger again without spending 3/4 days at Jock. Naomi made us feel really special and that we were the only...

It is a nice place for people who have never done safaris in the African bush before. The staff is very friendly, from the managers to the rangers and the chefs. Very pleasant to have them around and will do anything to fix a problem. Unfortunately, our travel agent sold it to us as a luxury lodge, which it is...

We arrived at Jock Safari Lodge on the 26th March after a long journey from the UK but were instantly made welcome and invited out on the afternoon game drive. Our weariness was soon forgotten as we were introduced to Surhita our ranger and spent the evening exploring the bush and been enthralled by the wildlife, Surhita was our ranger...

Everything about Jock was amazing. The staff were friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. We were extremely well fed with high quality food. Our lodge was comfortable and the private terrace with day bed & plunge pool was a lovely area to relax in while watching the animals and birds that came to the river bed. The safari...

My first visit was in April of 2016 and the animal viewing was so spectacular I knew we were unlikely to repeat that. I was solo then, but brought my granddaughter this time. Unfortunately, she learned she could come at the "last minute" (end of January) and I was able to book only one night at Jock's, two at Skukuza...

Our family of 5 enjoyed the most amazing 4 days/3 nights with the team at Jock Safari Lodge. The minute you drive through the electric gated entrance it's like being placed into the lap of safari luxury. Every member of staff is welcoming and professional. The layout is beautiful, with a stunning central area overlooking the junction of 2 river...

From the moment we were met at Skukusa Airport by Jakob we knew we were in safe hands. Just travelling to the Lodge is an experience with opportunities to see animals on the way. The Lodge is a little idyll, tucked away in the Bush. The staff are very friendly, the accommodation is comfortable and the food an refreshments superb....
