Skukuza is a campground; expect to be camping when you book accommodation here. It is very basic. We did the budget safari and stayed in a house-tent and had a communal bathroom (which was very clean, by the way). The pool is a bit dirty so don't expect luxury here. The wifi is spotty, but the food at Cattle Baron...

As a first time visitor to Kruger, the rest camp itself was impressive, with restaurants, a gas station, rental car desk, etc. The actual bungalow was just OK. We were in a riverside bungalow, which offered a pretty great view of the elephants going about their day. While I did come arrive with expectations of very basic accommodations, a few...

Basic stay but clean. The biggest restcamp in the Kruger park. We stayed in Olifants and Satara. Those place were smaller and the staf there was much more friendly than in Skukuza. A good base to go out spotting lots of animals. Lake panic is also a nice place to go. Quiet spotting place whit lots of birds and hippo's...

The Skukuza was a perfect stay in Kruger. First night we stayed in a Bungalow and second night in a tend. We were 3 and both options were comfortable. I would reccomend to book a tend. Its cheaper and you dont have your own bathroom, but it gives you a better Safari feeling :)

When I was planning our self-drive safari to Kruger and I read about the rest camps I was expecting basic accomodation and service. We were therefore pleasantly surprised when we realized that all the camps were in fact top class, with restaurants, swimming pools, souvenir and food shops, etc. Skukuza boasts a lovely view over the river. We did a...

basic but comfortable. Night drive a bit hit and miss again but we did see lions and mongoose- as well as a controlled burn which was out of control! The rest camp was surprisingly quiet for the number of people nearby. Good place to stay to spend a couple of days in Kruger. We stayed here as well as Berg-en-Dahl...

Perfectly adequate accomodation. Booked a riverside bungalow. But the river does not hold any quantity of game - unlike Lower Sabie. Had a BBQ - bought everything in camp shop - with nice bottle of Cape shiraz - we brought in. Took sunrise drive. Leopard twice. Many Rhino. Would recommend - can sit back and enjoy in open vehicle. All...

This place is quite busy but we found our little chalet quite restful and imminently serviceable. There are just basic furnishings with soap and towels supplied (no tea/coffee, tissues, shampoo etc) but the kitchen/veranda area is well equipped for the self caterer. It is very clean , well serviced and has a good hot shower. We slept well too.

Booking so late we had little choice but to stay here and we were pleasantly surprised at how well it all worked and the spacious feel to such a large camp. Our bungalow was very basic but did the job. The camp was well situated and everything worked well apart from the Restaurant.slow service ,we watched our drinks warm up on...

If you are looking piece and quiet don't come here. The camp is a very busy place with many different amenities. Having a pool automatically adds to the noise levels. If you love this type of camp then its perfect for you. If you are stopping off here then get some good supplies at the shop.
