After a long drive, we arrived at Skukuza Rest Camp, to spend 2 nights. It is a quite large complex, The check in was very quick and in minutes we were exploring our rounded african hut, with a nice porch. The room was clean but needs an urgent upgrading facilities. The restaurant Cattle Baron was a pleasant surprising - excelent...

We only had one night here but our accomodation for 4 of us was excellent. We had a two bedded cottage, with own bathrooms overlooking the Sabie River. What a wonderful peaceful place to be. The main restaurant was also very nice and the food superb even though a bit slow in coming, and was withing walking distance of our...

After a good drive from Malelane gate we arrived and were checked in quickly, once we found our hut (the camps quiet large) we were greeted by a large ground monitor lizard on the step so as I tried to get a close up photo he puffed himself up and hissed at me so I backed off then he moved...

This is really a small town with the admin HQ, the Airport, the biggest camp, franchised restaurants, and with parking segregated by vehicle type. You really do need to get out into the park. Fortunately when you do you can still see magnificent sights like 6 white rhino together which these days must almost be a record!

I stayed 3 nights while exploring southern regions of Kruger National Park. Given my connection to local hosts, I actually stayed in a cabin at the research camp just outside the main Skukuza camp. But I used the facilities in the main camp. It is quite a large resort, with swimming pool, restaurant, shop, museum, and more. Cabins of different...

Stayed as part of an Outlook Safaris tour in April 2016. I liked the look and feel of these rooms including the interiors. I found it complimenting the experience of being in the national park. After all you don't spend much time in the hut!!

This doesn't claim to be a luxury camp but it was perfect for my friend and I for 2 nights. We stayed in one of the Bungalows and it was really quite pleasant. Basically on our doorstep, there was so much game. Food was tasty in the main restaurant. We did 2 game drives and 2 self drives and never...

We stayed here for one night, and I'd wish we'd stayed here longer. While the rooms are dated, they're clean and pleasant, though the aircon needs to be repaired. The camp itself is decent and the main restaurant offers a good breakfast and superb dinner options (though the service is quite slow). Not sure if it's worth the money to...

I visited on 2 occasions leading teams in Feb 2017 and have previously taken around 6 teams there for an overnight stay and game drives. Generally I have found the check-in staff at reception almost indifferent with some lacking in the basic customer service skills. The same lady on both recent visits was almost completely detached and choose not to...

Have visited this base camp over the years but not been for around 3. Used to love it but it's changed and for the worse!!!!!! Rooms are dreadful now with maintenance being an issue. It's getting run down, cleanliness is an issue and the areas to walk around are overgrown and unkempt. The restaurant is dreadful as far as service...
