The facility is lovely with a 1920s feel the rooms are good too only downside is walking on Boardwalk to room 6 is a bit daunting at night and if limited physical ability a huge challenge. Also be aware of the large number of black fly like things which stick in huge numbers to all white surfaces sinks and bath... More

It is small, luxurious, beautiful where you relax. Remember its 2016 and electronics is part of our lives therefore WIFI should be considered as while we relaxing business continues. Note further that WIFI is also important as everyone visiting your camp wants to send photos which is very important for marketing.

This is a very special place. We had tent # 4, which was large and very nice, plenty of room for the two of us.. We loved the outside shower, the comfy bed and deck. The staff is amazing and make you feel like family. The food was wonderful, three full meals a day plus early morning coffee and 3... More

Doctor Livingstone I presume? The tented decor is really out of Africa and totally luxurious and comfortable. The staff are professional, friendly and observant to one's every need. The camp is small, and strung out along a river bed (dry when we were there) with a grey water hole and a small spring over which the elephants fight and the... More

We spent three nights at Hamilton's and it was a great experience. Everything was top notch. We really loved the open camp and watched a steady stream of animals from our balcony. Our guide was informative and we learned much on the safari drives. The staff was accommodating and the food and beverages were all very good. Be sure to... More

What a beautiful lodge. Luxurious tents 1, 2 & 3, above the river bed, offering a continuous procession of elephants, buffaloes, kudus, impalas, monkeys, baboons, birds galore, under the canopy of huge trees. Very good cooking by Lucy and Abel. Game drives and a Bush walk with Simon, who one morning spotted the leopard which gave the Big Five in... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Named after Colonel Stephenson Hamilton, who was instrumental in establishing the world famous Kruger National Park, Hamilton's Tented Camp reflects a safari adventure of the early twentieth century, where grace and style were the epitome of luxurious living. Six magnificent canvas tents, complete with teak floorboards, dreamy mosquito nets and a superb view of the seasonal river, are linked to the main lodge area by raised timber walkways amongst ancient Jackalberry trees. Uncompromising elegance and breathtaking beauty identifies Hamiltons Tented Camp with open tented lounge, butler service and personalised cuisine. All tented suites have a romantic slipper bath and outdoor shower overlooking the Ngwenyeni Dam, private veranda, air conditioning and an intercom service.Spa treatments are available in the privacy of your room. Safaris in 4x4 vehicles, bird watching, self drive in the Kruger National Park and guided safari walks by prior arrangement.Children over the age of 8 years are welcome and are accommodated in their own room.
