Positive points ; very close to Kruger gate, cheap, nice pool, view on the animals from the restaurant and lawn (hippos, elephants, antelopes), nice "tents". Negative points : tents very close too each other you'll hear everything your neighbours are doing/saying, bad luck if their baby is crying all night. You'll also hear the rolling of many suitcases of all...

Not a place to go to. No self catering. No parking of your vehicle closer than 350m from your tent. No matter what they tell you its not inside but outside the Kruger park and about 3.5 km from the closest Kruger gate, Numbi. Its next to the railway line and the trains will wake you at least 4 times...

Cozy tent with comfy bed and wooden floors, nature all around you, option to shower outside, great food. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Just wish it had an actual king sized bed instead of twin beds pushed together

The camp was such a fantastic place to spend a night between drives. Right amongst the wildlife, you could hear them calling beyond the fences at night. The “tents” are spacious and have everything you need. The bedroom was not cold in the mornings (despite the nearly freezing weather outside), although the partially outdoor shower was a little chilly. Breakfast...

The lodge is very beautiful, i must admit. Pool, reception and even the tented lodges - with aircon! I left my luggage in the locked room for about 2 hrs while having dinner. result: 800 rand and 140 dollars to be missing. I travelled through za, swasiland and mosambik (often camping) and kept my rucksack always within eyeshot. maybe the...

The accommodation is basic and a little bit rough & ready round the edges, but in many ways this adds to the charm of the place. I do know that a lot of effort has been put into the place to improve and it is moving very much in the right direction. Situated inside the boundaries of Kruger it allows...

This is a very good value lodge with rooms comprising of individual wooded lodges with canvas sides and all amenities, including both an indoor and outdoor shower. When we stayed, in November, no mosquito nets were provided but they didn't appear to be needed and we were not bothered by mosquitoes at all. Rooms were clean and well maintained with...

I stayed at the Nkambeni Tented Lodge in early November 2014 for a 3-night stay as a base for a safari visit in the Kruger NP, on the second stage of my 15-day 'Bushveld & Battlefields' holiday (plus Victoria Falls extension) operated by Voyages Jules Verne. This might 'only' be a 3* facility, but even for quite a lengthy stay...

The lodge is just outside the Numbi Gate. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious and the beds are very comfortable. A mini bar fridge was sorely missed and would have been nice to keep the water bottles chilled before going out on a morning game drive. The lodge is clean and well maintained. We stayed...

The lodge is very comfortable and clean. The rooms are a wood frame with canvas and have air con, interior and outdoor showers and are very nice. The best thing is how beautiful and very well located it is . The food was good, buffet style, breakfast was the best meal. Overall we had a great time at the park...
