Property's Favourite Review
African Flair absolutely made my South Africa trip magical! The villa looked exactly like in the pictures- super well maintained and luxurious. We travelled with a group of friends and none of their accomodation looked anywhere near the pictures. Giving 10/10 rating wasn't doing African flair justice to be honest, they totally deserve 6 star, 11/10 hands down. Let me explain in detail why so.
Planning phase-
Right from the planning stage, I engaged the owner, Alet for months and she were genuinely giving suggestions, explaining how best I can plan my itinerary. She was so sincere in helping us plan our trip even before we booked this lovely place. As it was for my wife's birthday trip, she even went out of the way to give suggestions to make it special for her. Communication was a breeze, even with the time difference of 6 hours (we're from Singapore), her response were almost instantaneous. Her hospitality and sincerity was truly out of this world.
Arrival-
We were in awe at how beautiful and luxurious. The vibe, the outlook of this place was truly amazing. We knew we were going to have a great time here. She even planned everything for us according to our liking and even made changes according to the weather so we can make the most out of our time here and enjoy ourselves to the maximum.
Breakfast-
Daily breakfast was prepared by her and was truly scrumptious. In my opinion, it was much better than many 5 star hotels around the world. On days when we have sunrise safari game drives at 4am, she woke up before us just to make sure we have our coffee fix before we leave.
One thing's that really seperates African Flair from the rest was that the host was able to curate an itinerary that's much better than packaged tour, but at a more reasonable rates. We get to visit different game reserves to see different animals according to our liking instead of being confined to one, and we even had Bush Braai (BBQ) and picnic in the wild. Truly an unforgettable experience!
I would definitely want to be back again! Thank you African Flair, for making our Africa trip a truly special and memorable one.

What an amazing experience!
After a long drive from Jhb our host met us at the entrace with wet towels and refreshments which so needed after a 5/6hr drive. The host one of the warmest people I have me in my life. She had a beautiful genuine smile on her face and gives the best hug💟
As soon as we entered the lodge the first thing that hits you is how extremely beautiful the lodge is the deco is so beautiful and unique, smells beautiful and is so clean. The owner descibe it was her heart in physical form, so stunning. She gave us a quick run down of the property and we couldnt stop gasping. The pool area literally invites you its so well designed and has so many areas where u just lay down, relax and a nice cold drink.
The room was as usual spectacular, the attention to detail is our of this, do yourself a favor, light the fireplace, run a bubble and pour some champagne and just relax in the tub, extremely romantic and relaxing.
BONUS: There is a room on the first floor which is called the star, where u can sleep with yours directly under the milkyway 🌌 if the weather permits of cos.
The BEST part is that this entire places you have all to yourselves , they have only one couple at a time😍meaning total privacy.
Breakfast is served on the property and is made by the host herself which was torally scrumptious and filling. For dinner ask for recommendations and trust me she will lead to some of the most amazing place.
There are a few other activities you can do, like sunrise and set game drives, hot air ballooning, messages by the pool area etc, dont make the mistake we did and spent it in the room😏 go out and experience the area.
We will definitely be returning, it was such an amazing experience. Thank you so much African Flair for hosting me and my hubby.💟

From the booking process to the check-in point, the experience was unbelievably mind blowing. We were 3 hours late but Alet welcomed us with complimentary drinks and she was generous to show us the stunning venue.
The place is stunning and embraces the African roots/origin, the art works on the walls gave some goosebumps (it felt like an art gallery). The rooms & decorations are stylish and modern, definitely giving that luxury showroom vibes; I love it 🥰
The location is perfectly good and closer to the shopping centre, the Wild Estate is access control with visible security 24/7. Waking up to beautiful wild animal sounds made me love this place even more🥰. Alet was incredibly nice and helpful throughout our stay, never complained and our 3 nights stay felt like 10 hours ☺️….thumb up 👍🏽 to Alet’s great customer service 💐
The food was delicious and the presentation by Alet was awesome, and you do get asked about your allergies 🙏🏽. The pool is soo beautiful and the pool-side deco is incredible 😍.
This place is one of the best in Hoedspruit so far, I’ll wait for a name of a better & affordable place than this one. Thank you African Flair, my wife and I will surely return within 6 to 8 months. 💐

There are many famous and luxurious hotels around Hoedspruit and Kruger National Park, but this is a new designer boutique hotel that only allows one group per night.
(I thought this type of hotel was quite rare in this area!)
I was traveling alone as a woman, but the budget and atmosphere were all really ideal!
When I actually got there, the hotel was even nicer than I imagined and I was very excited from start to finish!
It was one of the best hotels I have stayed at, and I really wanted to visit again.
My favorite points are as follows.
⚫︎Since it is only for one group, you can enjoy your own time without worrying about anyone's eyes. (If you are a couple, you can enjoy your time together!)
⚫︎The owner is very friendly and hospitable. He is also a very gentleman and very warm.
⚫︎The modern African interior is just too cute.
⚫︎The room is very spacious, and surrounded by tasteful interiors, I was really excited. It feels too good to stay alone.
⚫︎My favorites are the princess bed with a canopy and the bathtub facing the garden. There is a shower in the room and in the garden, so I was able to take a shower under the stars and soak in the bathtub while watching the sunrise, which was an extraordinary experience.
(The owner said that only animals can see you during bath time, so it's okay!)
⚫︎And what's more, there is another bedroom on the second floor where you can sleep while watching the stars. The weather was good on the second day, and I was able to have the best experience of looking up at the starry sky, sleeping while listening to the roaring of lions, and waking up to the voices of birds in the morning.
●There is also a large pool between the hotel entrance and the room, and I think you can enjoy the pool in the summer! (Although it was still too cold to go in this time.)
Anyway, everything was extraordinary and the best stay, and I would wholeheartedly recommend this hotel!
Thank you for a wonderful time!

African Flair Boutique Safari Lodge was easily one of the best accommodations throughout our 2-weeks stay around South Africa, despite staying in mainly 4 to 5 star accommodations throughout!
The host was extremely informative and helpful from the start of our reservation. She assisted us in placing bookings for a braai dinner and a safari game (highly recommended - different from what you would get at Kruger Park), at competitive prices.
Upon our arrival, she greeted us with delicious welcome drinks and towels. She then gave us a tour around the amazingly decorated lodge. The amount of thought and design placed into the lodge was absolutely top-notch.
Honestly, the only downside is the fact that we only managed to book the accommodation for a night.
Right before we checked out, we were also treated to the best breakfast throughout our trip. We enjoyed the traditional omelette, yoghurt, and coffee, just to name a few options. You will definitely be left satisfied!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at African Flair Boutique, and highly recommend a visit to Hoedspruit.

Our 18th anniversary at African Flair was a dream come true. This exclusive retreat, situated in the heart of the African bush, offers an unparalleled combination of privacy, luxury, and wildlife.
The moment we entered, we were enchanted by the hotel’s African-inspired decor. The interiors are a perfect blend of cultural richness and modern luxury, with each detail thoughtfully curated. The luxurious perfumes throughout the hotel created a serene and opulent ambiance that we loved.
Being surrounded by the African wilderness was a magical experience. The hotel is nestled in the bush, where wildlife roams freely around the property. From our bed, we could watch the bush come alive with the sounds of birds and distant wildlife, a truly immersive experience that brought us closer to nature than we ever thought possible.
The suite itself was designed for ultimate comfort and romance. The king-sized bed, with its plush pillows and blankets, provided an uninterrupted view of the breathtaking landscape. The fireplace added warmth and coziness to our evenings. The open layout of the bedroom, bathroom, and sitting area created an intimate and luxurious space perfect for couples.
The wine and champagne selection was exceptional, and having fresh cappuccinos at the touch of a button added to the indulgent experience. The luxurious amenities, including hand-crafted soaps and aromatic room sprays, made us feel thoroughly pampered.
Our hosts went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect, attending to every detail with care. African Flair is an exquisite destination for couples looking for a private, luxurious escape in the heart of the African wild. We left feeling utterly rejuvenated and cannot wait to return!

Simply sublime. There are many synonyms to describe a stay at the memorable African Flair. The house is exceptional both in its common areas and in the dining room, through its pantry or its massage area. The outdoor relaxation areas are just as remarkable, but what can we say about the simply superb room/suite. Add to that the incomparable welcome from the owner to make us feel at home throughout our stay. This stay at the African Flair is one of the most exceptional hotel experiences we have had after 25 years of traveling around the world. Hurry up if you are in the area and you will say like us…already looking forward to coming back.

African Flair was one of the best experience of our South Africa trip. The lodge is designed beautifully with intrinsic details and includes various elements that bring out the African vibe. There are so many great spots to hangout and take pictures.
Our suite was super spacious, beautiful and very clean. We also got privilege to use the star bed, that gave us an opportunity to stare at the stars and sleep.
Definitely the most fascinating night of our trip.
Our hosts, Alete and Kobez, are a super nice couple. They were attentive to our smallest detail and went out of there way to make us feel comfortable. They are genuinely very nice and warm people.
We were treated with a tasty breakfast in the morning which was a cherry on the cake.
I would definitely give this place 5 stars for its character, cleanliness, comfort and overall hospitality. Looking forward to visiting again :).

This lodge is a wonder for all the senses
We were made to feel so welcome on arrival and every minute of our stay. Alet’s attention to detail is exceptional as well as her impressive eye for design.
We had sensory overload; the lodge has been so tastefully designed, sympathetic and embracing of the African vibe, the furnishing and decorations are such a delight for the eyes. You will see something new every time you walk through the main lodge. The bedding is luxurious and comfortable with huge pure white towels and the softest fluffy dressing gowns. Wonderful aromas everywhere, not to mention the utterly delicious and generous food and impressive wine list and bar.
Alet pays careful attention to your individual tastes and accommodates your needs.
We were taken care of from the very first point of contact all the way through our stay and on every excursion we took with Alet ensuring we were treated like royalty.
There are way too many personal touches to mention, but I can tell you that you will be taken care of and leave feeling pampered.
This lodge is not only completely luxurious but totally exclusive. You have the entire place to your self and the attention and focus of the hosts during your stay.
I have to mention the amazing star gazing room above the master suite. The canvas roof can be removed so you can sleep under the African sky, what a wonderful experience. Taking ‘glamping’ to a new level.
African Flair completely under sells them self and over delivers. So much love and attention to detail has gone into this lodge to make it feel like home whilst you are there. If you are looking to indulge and embrace the African spirit then look no further. I couldn’t recommend this place more.
Thank you for an amazing exquisite stay full of precious memories.

The host is fantastic, she met us at the door on arrival and showed us around her beautiful lodge. My wife and myself felt right at home and everything was taken care of by the host herself, from serving us a delicious breakfast to sorting out our drinks and chilling them for us. We were also fortunate enough to experience the star room at night as the weather permitted. It was an absolute bliss and unforgettable experience to sleep under the stars. I wish we could have extended our stay, leaving was the lodge was sad. BIG thank you to the host for the 5 star treatment! I highly recommend a stay if you want to unwind and relax in style.
