There is a small section of road to the lodge that is a dirt road from what i recall but it is a very short section. The road to the Blyde River House is tarred and there is no problem. The cars are locked behind security... More
There is a small section of road to the lodge that is a dirt road from what i recall but it is a very short section. The road to the Blyde River House is tarred and there is no problem. The cars are locked behind security gates and under cover. No need to worry.

It took about one and a half hours easy motoring. Sealed roads all the way. When you stay there, do leave time (1 day) to do the Panorama route drive. We had a clear and sunny day, stunning scenery and a nice cold beer... More
