What a delight to stay in such a welcome and hospitable house. Sue and Phil were great hosts, offering beautiful rooms and the most fantastic breakfasts. If you are a twitcher then look no further than the terrace where you are joined for breakfast by a colourful variety of birds This is a 'must stay' for anyone who is en...

Thank you for your kind comments Debbie, we are so blessed to have guests who enjoy the prolific bird life in our area. At the moment we have quite a few quaint chicks visiting our feeding tray, so it is fun to watch their antics! We are happy that you enjoyed the breakfasts. Hope that you have a peaceful, happy...

We've travelled throughout South Africa for many years but have never stayed at a place so stunning. The setting is beautiful as others before us have noted but it is the welcome, comfort and Sue's food that defines its difference from other establishments. Spoil yourself - stay here!

We had such a wonderful time staying in the carefully decorated rooms at the lovely Kingfisher Country House. You feel more than welcome when you meet Sue and Phil. It's not only the great diverse breakfast, the chocolate chip cookies and good night sweet in your room and the beautiful garden, it's almost just like coming home after a long...

We enjoy treating the guests as we would like to be treated ourselves because each guest is special to us. I love to find a chocolate on my pillow when we stay at a guesthouse, makes me feel special. I stayed there solo for two nights on a recent wander through South Africa, and wished I could stay longer. For a bird watcher it is a superb base for searching for the birds of the Garden Route, with the first lifers coming while sitting on the porch, and more to be found within a few miles since the area...

This place was 'food for the soul'. The room was beautifully decorated, bed so comfortable, breakfast delicious, the song of the birds restful and delightful and information supplied by Phil and Sue was invaluable. From where to eat to places to visit, we would have been lost without them. In the opinion of my husband, this place ticked all the...

At the end of a three week birding and wildlife adventure in South Africa we were fortunate enough to stay at Kingfisher. Not only were the hosts welcoming and delightful, they took great pleasure in showing us the forest birds which came to their well stocked feeder, including some very difficult to see species. George and I loved spending two nights here. Sue and Phil are so genuine and love their place, their birds, dog, cat and doing what they do. Plus Sue gives THE best local tips and one of them led us to seeing 4 Southern Right Whales at play in Witsand Bay on our way back yo Camps Bay. WOW!
