Sue and Phil are lovely hosts. We spent our first 2 night here as we toured the Garden Route and immediately felt welcome . The breakfasts were an absolute delight with freshly baked muffins on offer. We were able to sit a wonder at the amazing bird life which visited the tree close by every day. Sue was also a...

Friendliness of the hosts and helpful advice for hiking in the environment. Birdlovers will love to have breakfast on the veranda next to many exotic birds. Place is quiet, but also not far from restaurants.

Wonderful views of birds as you eat your breakfast. Turocos in the trees, plus a host of other birds. Charming hosts who were pleased to give any information on the local walks. Breakfasts were indeed hearty. Excellent bedroom with plenty of room.

Arriving and feeling like at home. Warm welcome, serenity and calm, extreme cleanness and nothing missing in the room who are arranged with passion up to the slightest detail. Great breakfast (best muffins ever !) while observing the birds. For those for that is important, it is good to know that there is no view but instead you will be...

We had a great stay in Kingfisher Country House, were welcomed with tea and muffins on the veranda. The room was big with an extra sitting area besides. Beds were comfortable. The buffet breakfast was very good with hot and cold dishes. You sit on a veranda with a lot of birds right beside you including Knysna Loerie. Sue and...

This guesthouse is highly recommended. Phil and especially Sue are the best hosts. Sue is like your mother away from home. She makes the best breakfast with great home-made muffins! The rooms are kept very clean and even your clothes are ironed when you are away. No, its not a modern hotel with modern rooms, but that is part of...

A birders paradise plus wonderful comfortable accommodation. Sue and Phil are such wonderful interesting and knowledgeable people. The breakfast were the best we had during our 26 day stay in South Africa. Will definitely be going back.

January's visit was one of many return trips to Wilderness - we just can't stay away. Not only is Wilderness a great place for birding, walking, canoeing etc but, at Kingfisher Country House, Sue & Phil always go that extra mile to make a stay with them very special. Their flair for making rooms pretty, comfortable & homely coupled with...

Sitting on the stoep having breakfast and seeing all the birds come in to Sue's feeders is just lovely. The huge range of birds Sue attracts are practically tame..... Great breakfasts, enough for the day, with muffins straight from the oven to take out. Mmmmm

We loved having breakfast within touching distance of forest birds, especially the briliantly coloured Knysa Lourie, and bushbuck wandering through the garden. Our room was large and airy with our own outside door and stoep to interact with passing wildfoul. Our hosts, Sue and Phil, were attentive and knowledgable - advising on local things to do and the environment. The...
