Stayed here in March 2015 for two nights as a getaway from Cape Town for the weekend. We arrived late on a Friday night after a long drive from Cape Town. The owner stated up and waited for us to offer us a drink when we arrived - really appreciated and very nice woman. Stayed in the Honeymoon (Sunbird) Suite,... More

We took advantage of the honeymoon suite, you know you are never too old for romance!! This was a chalet in the pretty garden. The theme was African. A huge bed, great double bath. Lots of lovely extras. Nora is a most welcoming host who mixes the best Campari and orange juice. There is a very nice swimming pool, free... More

Wilderness feels like a small little village which is starting to get popular with tourists. We stayed in the Hadida Ibis room, during our drive along the Garden Route for our honeymoon, en-route from Cape Town to Knysna. - Very spacious and comfortable room, extremely well decorated - Breakfast was simply awesome, a lot of effort was put for everything... On the whole a very pleasant 2 night stay. I would say the best thing about Waterside Lodge is Nora, the very hands on owner. She offered me a drink when I arrived and was available to answer questions. It was very conveniently situated for the beach/nature reserve/town. The Lodge was very clean and a lot of attention to detail... More

My experience with Waterside Lodge was great. As someone said it deserves 4 stars, not 3. The room was spacious with huge comfortable bed, tea, coffee, wines, TV. Breakfast was good with decent coffee. The owners are very friendly. I would definitely stay there again!

Night stop found via tourism office, good value, large pleasant room although overlooked from outside seating/patio area. Two boisterous dogs. Nora was very pleasant, great restaurant suggestion - Les Girls. Good breakfast
