We've made many trips to South Africa, in fact this was the 37th different lodging we have stayed in over the years. We really couldn't fault it for position, service, quality of rooms, cleanliness, friendliness and helpfullness of our hosts. Thanks Gerald and JD. We'll be back

From the moment we arrived we were made welcome, pampered and cared for by JD and Gerald. The room was spacious and comfortable, our private garden was tranquil and beautiful; linen and towels were immaculate and always fresh. Lavish, scrumptious and beautifully presented breakfasts were served personally by our hosts. They went out of their way to assist guests to...

Wilderness Manor was simply 'special'! The warmest welcome, the greatest comfort and two wonderful hosts who simply went out of their way to make our stay as special as possible. Every aspect of comfort was catered for. Even the day we arrived they had booked us into a local restaurant for our evening meal 'just in case it was too...

What a wonderful B&B this is. And what an outstanding personal service. Gerald and JD, the two owners, go out of their way to be of help. They provide a turn-down service and our room was tidied up each time we went out. This B&B is situated in a real manor house that overlooks the narrow, shallow lagoon formed by...

Lovely accommodation, friendly and helpful hosts, great breakfast and lots to do in the area. Couldn't have wished for more. All plus more that you expect from a South African guest house. Have no hesitation in recommending this to anyone.

We stayed at Wilderness Manor for two nights in January and we wish it had been longer. JD and Gerald made us feel so welcome and gave us so much of their time telling us about places to visit in the area. Although we had been to Wilderness before, we didn't know about the 'Map of Africa', which was an...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Almost halfway between Cape Town and Port Elizabeth on the internationally renowned Garden Route and nestled between mountains and golden beaches, you will find one of South Africa's most favoured holiday destinations, the seaside village of Wilderness. Wilderness Manor is an elegant and refined guest house overlooking the beautiful Wilderness Lagoon, in the heart of the scenic village of Wilderness. Step out of the front door and cross the road onto the boardwalk for an easy and safe stroll to beaches, restaurants and village shops. Relax in the spacious guest lounge or reading lounge, with superb views from the balconies overlooking the lagoon. Wilderness Manor is luxuriously decorated in an African colonial style with fine oriental rugs, heirlooms, antiques, art and collectables which contribute to a refined and stylish ambience. Retire to the serenity of four stylish en-suite bedrooms: three luxury and spacious lagoon facing rooms on the second floor with superb views of the lagoon and one standard garden room on the ground floor with a private garden / patio. Look forward to our Continental buffet and English breakfast served in our breakfast room, opening onto a sunny balcony overlooking the indigenous forest where the Knysna Loerie often comes to feed... Whether you are passionate about water sports, hiking, extreme adventure or animal encounters, the Garden Route and Klein Karoo has something for you.
