We unfortunately only had one night to spend in Wilderness Manor Guest House but we would say that Gerald and JD were the most wonderful, knowledgeable and helpful hosts of any guest house we have ever stayed in! We got such a lovely greeting with a welcome drink, help with our bags and the room with amazing view of the... More

We were so well looked after by our hosts - our comfort was of great importance, and that's what makes a stay memorable. The house is lovely, freshly re-decorated and re-vamped, clean as can be and full of little luxuries. This is serious value for money in terms of Garden Route accommodation.

The best hosts that we've ever experienced in all our travels in SA. Both Gerald & JD were friendly. We felt part of their family. They shared info on places of interest to visit and best restaurants to dine at. We loved the rooms we stayed in. We would happily recommend the property to family and friends. It's a great... More

What an amazing stay!!! Wilderness Manor was luxury, comfort and "home away from home" all rolled up in one. The attention to detail is unsurpassed. JD & Gerald are the most amazing hosts we have ever encountered.!!! Their tips on places to see & spots to eat was priceless. I'm not sure what awed us more - the stunning lagoon... More

Our stay at the Wilderness Manor Guest House was outstanding. The house is beautiful and it was an absolute pleasure to stay there. Gerald and JD could not have been more friendly and helpful. The breakfast was amazing and there was such a good choice. We will certainly stay again when we visit Wilderness.

We were also first guests after the renovation which is truly stunning. The rooms are amazing and Gerald and JD just cannot do enough for their guests. They booked our restaurants for us and gave us very detailed instructions on places to visit and checked the route to our next destination. The breakfast was beautiful and, as previously stated, their... More

We were the first guests checking in after the big renovation. Despite the concerns of our hosts that not everything is back to their standards this was unnoticeable for us. Their attention to detail and the unlimited willingness to do everything possible for their guests is outstandding! We will definitively come back on our next trip that takes us through... More

Great guesthouse run by Gerald and J-D, two of the most friendly, wecoming hosts you could wish to meet. They were so helpful in suggesting to us where we should visit. Tenikwa where we walked with cheetahs was the highlight. Les Girls restaurant is a must. The guesthouse was beautifully furnished offering superb accommodation and a delicious breakfast.

Such a great stop driving the garden route. Quieter and a bit hidden away, but one of the most beautiful places. The guest house was very homely and the rooms were beautiful. The owners/hosts were so hospitable and helped us make the most of our stay in wilderness manor. They recommended a great walk, waterfall and views to visit and... More

Almost halfway between Cape Town and Port Elizabeth on the internationally renowned Garden Route and nestled between mountains and golden beaches, you will find one of South Africa's most favoured holiday destinations, the seaside village of Wilderness. Wilderness Manor is an elegant and refined guest house overlooking the beautiful Wilderness Lagoon, in the heart of the scenic village of Wilderness. Step out of the front door and cross the road onto the boardwalk for an easy and safe stroll to beaches, restaurants and village shops. Relax in the spacious guest lounge or reading lounge, with superb views from the balconies overlooking the lagoon. Wilderness Manor is luxuriously decorated in an African colonial style with fine oriental rugs, heirlooms, antiques, art and collectables which contribute to a refined and stylish ambience. Retire to the serenity of four stylish en-suite bedrooms: three luxury and spacious lagoon facing rooms on the second floor with superb views of the lagoon and one standard garden room on the ground floor with a private garden / patio. Look forward to our Continental buffet and English breakfast served in our breakfast room, opening onto a sunny balcony overlooking the indigenous forest where the Knysna Loerie often comes to feed...
