My husband and I stayed at Moontide six years ago while travelling the garden route during a "once in a lifetime" trip to South Africa to mark our sixtieth birthdays and twenty fifth wedding anniversary. We had planned and researched our trip ourselves and had decided on this particular stopping place based on its Tripadvisor reviews and the friendly and...

Absolutely beautiful b&b. Each guest has their own little thatched hut/suite. Very well equipped and beautiful bathroom. Situated on the edge of wilderness lagoon with a small pontoon that goes out into the water with deck chairs - only shame is that sunset was not visible from location. Freely available paddloes and canoes and delicious breakfast. Owners/management very helpful and...

My hubby planned a very romantic getaway for us at the Moontide Guesthouse for valentines, it was our first time visiting the place and it was breath taking. The staff were very accommodating especially Judge who made sure all our needs were met. We stayed in the Stone Cottage which was absolutely beautiful, very homely feeling. Would definitely recommend anyone...

For location, hospitality and ambiance, this is very hard to better! Wilderness is probably the best beach along the Garden Route about 4 hours drive from Cape Town. For the scenic drive, stop in at Hermanus on the way.

We spent 3 nights at Moontide in the Stone House with our 2 year old daughter. What a lovely place! The staff were amazing, especially Judge. They were very welcoming to our family. The stone house is very nicely decorated, very clean and comfortable with a beautiful, small, private courtyard. We ate each breakfast outside overlooking the lagoon, watching the...

Me and my family enjoyed our stay at the Moontide Guest House so much due to the caring staff, the excellent location and the perfect calm and peaceful atmosphere that reigns the premises! A place definitely worth to spend several days and decide on either activities or just gazing at the lake and reading a book.

A warm welcome awaits you as you turn up at this hideaway. The chalets are well appointed with all mod cons. Tim is most helpful with information about what to do and where to go and the staff are friendly and provide a good breakfast. Sitting on the side of the lagoon for a sundowner or breakfast is a real...
