This is such an awesome place. Close to Johannesburg and Pretoria but you still feel like you are far away from civilisation. The accommodation, we stayed in the chalets, was great. It was fully furnished and made one feel at home and the aircon was welcome. The only issues was the flies mainly during day light hours. All the insecticide...

The lodge is beautiful, located in proximity to Pretoria, once you are there you cannot imagine you are 30 minutes away from CBD. The chalets are neat, and open. My downfall was the restaurant's service is poor, they take long to serve your order, had tor return their food as they were cold. There are too many flies and butterfly,...

The tent was not swept or dusted, had to chase out frogs and clean their droplings, the showerhead spraying everything and everywhere but your body and grass not cut around the tent. No cupboard or table to place/store your plates, glasses, cups and cutlery. Being woken at daylight by the 100's or 1000's of chickens at the nearby chicken farm...

Everything that were offered was awesome, we loved the accommodation and the entertainment on offer. We visited Monateng over the Christmass week. The only drawback was the hordes of flies around. That is the only thing that is preventing me from returning to this resort.

Stayed at Monateng for four nights in the middle of January.Very impressed with the accomodation, the grounds and the entertainment area.It was our first visit but will not be our last. From booking in to leaving it was a pleasure to deal with such friendly people.

We booked a chalet here for the New Year week...the booking in was seamless...the grounds are immaculate exuding a true bush feel...the chalets are close enough but far enough from the busy pool area...an easy walk gets you there...the Nyala roam the grounds freely and are almost tame. My bugbear was the incessant fly problem particularly at the chalet...we had...

A very easy drive from Johannesburg, comfortable accommodation. Game drive was enjoyable. Crocodile tour was very long and tedious and in Afrikaans, the person conducting the tour seemed more intent on soliciting money from the attendees which was obvious and disappointing. Take your own food for self catering. Restaurant range very limited. The buffet breakfast was cold and a huge...

Excellent resort, close to Pretoria, clean and comfortable inside with all needs seen to. Chalets are well-stocked for visitors, we even had ice waiting in our freezer. Staff were amazing in every way. Animals were right up close walking around the chalets.

My friends and I visited Monateng for a weekend and really enjoyed the relaxed environment. The chalets were very clean and spacious. The breakfast was a bit disappointing as there wasn't much choose from and we met quite a few dirty plates. On the up side their pizza was amazing.

The self catering chalets we stayed in were clean and so spacious. Exactly what you would expect in the bush but also close to the town. The sunsets are absolutely breathtaking. We also visited the croc farm and were amazed at the amount of crocs there. I really enjoyed the Braai night as the staff made us feel so welcomed...
