......... when in Cape Town, that is the best title I could think of. My husband and I have only stayed twice in this location, but we have made it our fixed auberge, being British "swallows." On my list of priority go calmness, cleanliness and comfortable beds: 5/5. So where do I continue describing, if every single factor I measure...

We have stayed in The Stables at Long Cottage on our two previous visits to Cape Town and it really is very special. The location and convenience is perfect and a welcome get-away from the touristy Waterfront area, yet close to most of the main attractions. It is located in a lovely avenue of old oak trees in one of...

Very pleased to have found this accommodation. We were made to feel very welcome by Cathy. The accommodation is very comfortable and homely, with all the facilities you could wish for. Would definitely recommend this to friends and hope that we will be able to return at some stage in the future.

I have stayed with Cathy in both her Annexe and The Stables accommodation whilst in Cape town on business trips. It is rare to find exceptional value, genuine warmth and elegant furnishings plus comfort close to the city and Claremont at this affordable rate. Cathy is the perfect hostess. Warm, informative, helpful, yet unobtrusive. She reads her guests needs very...

My mom and I adore this beautiful b&b. It is set in a lush, private garden and has everything you need for a very comfortable stay. Cathy is a delightful host and is more than willing to make your stay as hassle free as possible. We will definitely be back to soak up the tranquil atmosphere that this place has...

I have stayed at both the Annexe (on my own) and The Stables (with my husband) over the past few years and have found both to be very comfortable and well equipped. Cathy is a wonderful hostess and thinks of all the things you will need almost before you know you need them! She is full of great advice and...

We stayed at the "The Stables" for 5 nights, the cottage is spacious and very comfortable, with a small TV/lounge area (full DSTV bouquet available). There is free WIFI (although at times a little slow). The open plan kitchenette is well appointed, little extras included a litre of milk on arrival, oat biscuits as well as ground coffee and a...

Cathy has perfected the art of being the perfect host - attentive, friendly and helpful, without being intrusive. The Cottage is well appointed, with everything you need, including a hair dryer. I appreciated the little touches, such as the mohair blanket, quality linen and heated towel rails. Cathy made sure that I had a map, and provided detailed information and...

A cosy, clean and comfortable place to be. Superb Cape setting and welcoming, friendly hosts. The cottage has everything you need and a private little courtyard to sit outside. A safe and well located residence for shopping and visiting well known Cape sights. This was my second visit and I will be back.

My partner and myself, were travelling with his parents. We stayed with Cathy at long cottage, booking both the Annex and the Stables as something special for our last few nights in Cape Town. We had also planned to attend a concert at Kirstenbosch on our last night--and for this endeavour the location was perfect. It really is a beautiful...
