Location great, room was great, staff were great, breakfast was excellent and overall experience was lovely even for just one night. I would stay there again, very convenient especially if looking for venue between Randburg and West Rand.

Amakoekoe is amazing. The staff is beyond friendly . I dealt with the owner Sanet and she knows exactly what client service is about and treats her guests with the utmost respect. Highly recommended and would definitely stay there again.

Location was convenient. The lodge was great, room small but well kept. Gardens and facility looks like it needs some attention. Would stay here again if the need arises. It is cemtral to the west rand and traveling around that area makes it a great location.

I have spent 2 sleepless nights at Amakoekoe. When I asked to move to one of the quieter rooms at the back of the premises, I was told by the owner, that I am in Jhb, so I must expect noise. I am frequent traveller, and have never had this kind of experience before in Jhb. So I am rather...

What an unfortunately strange name for a good establishment. Initially, I confess I was not attracted to the guest house because I found the name (which I learnt incorporates the surname of the owners and leans on the South African habit, lately, of using the prefix Ama ubiquitously) unappealing. But, what a great welcome I received from the staff member...

Dear Prof. Nel Thank you for the review and positive criticism. Our guests input is always welcome and appreciated. As for the building, we can regrettably not stand in the way of progress in the area and hope that in the long run this short discomfort will benefit the Lodge. You are always welcome at Amakoekoe Guest Lodge, and we...

I have just returned from a weekender to this wonderful place. My family and I were immediately greeted with warm smiles and the staff geniunely seemed happy to have us there. The staff as well as the rooms exceeded my expectations. The room was spacious enoguth for 2 adults and 2 small kids, decor was not overly done or tacky....

Amakoekoe is located close to The Dome and is in the opposite direction of the major traffic going to and from the events venue. The reception is open 24/7 which is great if you need to check in late or need some assistance from the staff. The guest house itself is rather average. It has all the conveniences one would...

We have stayed twice now at Amakoekoe and each time it has been really great. This year we stayed with 3 family members who thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We are looking at booking again for next year as it is very convenient to all surrounding areas. The staff are so helpful and very pleasant nothing is too much trouble. Once...
