We were especially grateful for the local guide that took us to Soweto. He was excellent. The pick up from the airport, the rides to restaurants and to the Apartheid Museum were particularly helpful. We'd recommend Arum Place to our friends.

Great B & B with very friendly owners who are so helpful in advising what to see in Gauteng. and they were also very accomodating with us letting us check in early after an overnight flight into Jo'burg. The house is situated in a very safe and secluded area in Mellville. Very good value for money.

Friendly staff showed us a tastefully decorated room with ample space and gorgeous bath. The free shuttle to 7th Street Melville to have dinner was a very welcome and appreciated add on! Breakfast was large and delicious. Definitively worth a visit.

Staying at Arum was really enjoyable. The rooms are very clean and luxurious and it felt like a special place to stay. Breakfast was huge, be aware that the hot breakfast is large so don't be deceived by the cold breakfast laid out when you walk into the dining room. This is a place we would be happy to stay...

Of the 100+ African guest houses I have stayed in over the last 30 years this is among the best. The location is good, the rooms are nice, the service is excellent and personal. I would happily have paid more.In other words this is very good value for money.

The only negative point we experienced, was the nie in the morning from the barking dogs. Besides that point, the guesthouse is highly recommendable! The owners are absolutely helpful with organizing tours. They even drove us to the restaurants and picked us up later.
