The bathroom ceiling was covered with mold spores and the bed was lumpy. we actually could not stay the night because of the musty smell so we have to move to another hotel; of course the two nights bookings was non refundable. Most of the TV stations were in-accessible and the internet is slow to non existence.

Stayed 4 nights , thoroughly enjoyed the ambience of the hotel. Beautiful gardens & rooms, staff were relaxed and very helpful.Transfers to and from airport were easily arranged with a wonderful driver called Nelson. We engaged him as our tour guide, very knowledgable and accommodating. We would highly recommend the hotel and would stay again when in South Africa

We recently stayed for 2 nights on a business trip. The hotel at first glance is lovely, beautiful lush garden, pool (although not heated) and very spacious rooms and bathrooms. It is, however, in need of an update as everything is just a little bit tired. We stayed in the Jade room and after our first night had to ask...

We spent one night here before flying back home the day after, and we have been really happy with the choice. The hotel is very nice and clean, with a quiet, secluded garden. Parking is secure, and it wasn't busy at all when we stayed. The staff is always available and helpful, and the breakfast lovely. We would highly recommend...

What a delightful place full of charm and beauty. On the road it's not the biggest or most impressive but once through the gates you are in a different world. Teresa and her staff were amazing and made us feel so welcomed! They ensured we had taxis and come got us for the tours. Great place great staff great stay.

This was our first trip to Johannesburg, and we were interested in a place that seemed to have more of a flair of the culture and country than the major US hotel chains. We were very pleased with the choice of this place. The parking is tight, and it's a bit off the path of the heart of the city....

Stayed for just one night but spent most of my time at the hotel enjoying the peaceful surroundings. I arrived early & they kindly let me have my room early. The rooms are spacious and the bathroom is huge with an excellent shower. I enjoyed sitting on the patio & on the sun lounges near the pool - the place...

Warm and welcoming staff - this makes a huge difference to the enjoyment of the place. It is very hospitable and nothing seems to be too much for the staff. Grounds are lovely as are the rooms. Mattresses need an upgrade though. Highly recommended.

Had a great week in this place! The service and staff are second to none, the place looks fantastic with it's traditional African house look, the breakfasts were very nice and the TV in the room is great with it's movie channels. Oh, and the beds are among the most comfortable that I've ever slept in! :-) It is about...

The place is very tired and in desperate need of a makeover, furniture old and broken, beds are not comfortable at all. Woke up with major backache. On arrival was shown to the room, dark and dingy. The person showing me to the room opened the door, flicked the switch, realised there was no power, gave me the keys and...
