This is a very nice and well kept guest house in a very friendly part of Johannesburg. The staff is really nice and friendly and the garden rooms where I have stayed now three times are beautiful decorated and well equipped. The breakfast is also good.

This was our first experience with Johannesburg and South Africa, and the Melville Manor eased us into the whole experience. We stopped here on our way to a game reserve stay near St. Lucia, wishing to experience Johannesburg. The staff at the Manor House was more than helpful, friendly and supportive. We felt more like family than paying guests. The...

A very nice place, that I wish to come back to! Good staff, nice rooms, tasty breakfasts. Not very much space, but still ok for a small family or a group of 3-5 people. Cosy little garden with pool!!!

We stayed in the loft for a week. Breakfast was served every morning. I can't wait to return. Perfect place to stay. Better hospitality then Disneyland. Very secure. To get around locally, take a Tuk Tuk.

We stayed 2 nights here at the end of a months trip thru southern Africa. Very relaxing. We loved the feel of the house, felt safe and enjoyed the atmosphere of the shops and cafes nearby. The room we had was great.

Great find. A great little oasis. Ladies were an absolute delight. Owners lovely. Location brilliant. If there was one improvement to be made it would be the quality of the linen & towels but it's not a big deal at all. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

This guesthouse is perfectly located close to the main shopping/ going out street in Melville. The rooms are really nice whether ensuite or not and the breakfast on the sunny terrace is always a treat. The staff is super friendly and helpful even if you arrive in the small hours of the night after a late flight. Have been there...

And they even sang Happy bithday to me ! In addition it is a good location, with great restaurants near by. I...

The Melville Manor is a nice place to stay at. Especially the walking distance to the 7th street was a plus. Nice restaurants there at walking distance. Good and clean rooms, and a very nice and kind staff.

This is an incredible hotel for the price. The staff is friendly and extremely helpful (among other things, they arranged for cabs for us that were not only safe but also much cheaper than other cabs we found). The neighborhood is great, too - centrally located in the city with plenty of restaurants and bars.
