We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Gecko Ridge. Comfortable rooms and living space. Beautiful outdoor area that included a bar, grill and pool. Breakfast each day was included and was delicious. Sandy, the proprietor, provided us with transportation (both her services and taxi recommendations) during our time in Jo'Burg. She was knowledgeable about restaurants and what to do while in...

We were four couples, 58 years+, needing to stay in Johannesburg for the quarter finals of the world cup. The accomodation is spotless, the beds comfortable, and the whole property attractively furnished. The gardens are beautiful, and a peaceful place in which to walk or relax. The hospitality is second to none - Sandy, the owner, arranged our airport transfers,...

I had the chance, 2 years in a row, to stay at Gecko Ridge during my work placements (2.5 months each) in Jo'burg... Everything was there to make me feel comfortable and Sandy always added that little touch that transformed Gecko ridge into more than a classical guest house. Beautiful and clean house, friendly personnel, well-equipped rooms...what else to ask...

I would like to thank Sandy for the wonderful week I've could spent with her. She went out of her way to make sure what my dietary choices where and ensured that I could stick to my special diet for health reasons, which I never experienced with any other accommodation. She is also very safety concious and made me feel...

The guesthouse has a very personal feel to it and Sandy, the host, is very accommodating and warm. Going away on business can really be tiresome, but this two night stay was really great. Breakfast was delicious and supper a nice warm home cooked meal. I stayed in the cottage, with an awesome view of the Ridge. The cottage allows...

stayed for three days on part of a business trip to South Africe. Gecko ridge is very secure and safe. It is in a quiet part on the outside of J/Burg. The breakfasts are different with almost any thing you wanted or sometimes suggested to me . the food is good. This would be an ideal place to stay if...
