Tick for being allowed an early check in but that's all... Signage for the guesthouse is not visible enough. Our room was next to reception so we could hear everything that was happening, especially the noisy staff the next morning. Good thing we only slept for one night. Kindly consider installing a bathroom door for some "privacy". We were told...

Have been booking at this upmarket guesthouse numerous times and have never been dissapointed. Rassie and Elisna is absolutely amazing. Thank you for the professional way in which you always treat me. No better place to stay in Bloemfontein and the food is amazing! Will always book at Alchemy.

I arrived in the evening - and struggle to find the place, not because I couldn't find the address, but because there isn't any illuminated signage. Their idea of serving an evening meal is warming up food leftover from who knows when in a microwave oven. No choice what I wanted to eat or drink - got suspect yellow cooldrink...

I often travel to Bloemfontein on business and whilst I rate the rooms as good (they are clean and have the basic necessities), I rate the hospitality of the staff as excellent. They are extremely friendly and accommodating on all accounts. A real treat is the dinners that Rassie (spelling?) prepares, which after a long day is so welcome instead...

Having booked an overnight stay through a reputable internet booking site and having received a confirmation, we encountered a locked door on arrival. After ringing the doorbell more than once, a young lady eventually opened the door and peeped sleepily at us through the security gate. She asked what we wanted and when we told her we booked, she said...

I booked executive and received the honey moon suite. Very friendly staff, I expected more from the rooms for the standards and the ranking on Tripadvisor. The building style is bad and my toilette seat was broken. Bed was good. The shower has the size of an extra room , but no pipe pressure! The view from the so called...

The Alchemy is fantastic. Extremely friendly staff who made us feel very welcome. Rooms were very spacious, had nice bathrooms, TV and desk for working. The daily breakfast was awesome, plenty of options, so filling and great preparation for a big day. The only very minor difficulty we had was getting some washing done in a limited time. Not a...
