We had an amazing stay at Ikhayalam Lodge . Beautiful rustic place. A leisurely walk to the beach. A huge thank you to Lester & his team for the Ikhayalam experience. Don't stay just anywhere in Port Elizabeth... Stay at Ikhayalam Lodge. :)

I always overnight at Ikhayalam backpackers lodge the staff friendly and helpful. Ask the owner who is a registered tourist guide about Tours on offer or things to do while visiting in Port Elizabeth.

I have a modest travel business and often travel up and down the coast.I have a few selected places I frequent and Ikhayalam Lodge is one place Ii would definitely recommend. It is very seldom that I find the proprietor of a business will greet you by name on your second visit. Its almost unheard of? Nevertheless expect warm friendly staff, spotless dorms...

Afriend and I stayed for 3nights at Ikhayalam lodge ,It was the best option in Port Elizabeth A lovely place with clean rooms ,helpful staff,A pool Table and In house Bar which took us to spend more nights than we planned. We will definitely be going back next time when we are in Port Elizabeth.

Place is extremely run down, never slept under the bedding once during my stay. Bathrooms were dirty and half broken. Suspicious activity happening on the premises. Would definitely not return on my next visit to PE. The place is not as it is portrayed on there website.

4am wake-ups, and people walking in and out of the place at night. Not good for our stay. Last time I stay here, for sure. Strange guys sleeping inside their cars in the hostel driveway. Place was very dirty.

Lester the head does everything to make you feel comfortable. Addo-Schotia Combo is a must. Perfect to stay just overnight to get onto safari next day. You should book in advance directly at ikhalayam and they will do the rest. Arive, sleep and have a great next safari-day. Great value for nice prize

It was the second stay there an I enjoyed it allot. The price is alright for what you get. For sure it is sometimes a bit loud, in fact the Airport is nearby. Some stuff of the environment has to be maintained, but if you mention a bit of dirtiness the staff will help you out and will fix it...

We've been here for just one night which was a blessing. Owner was nice but our feeling was that he led his rooms to anybody and people around were asocial in a never seen way. When asking if they could be quiet at 1 a.m. they were aggressive. no way
