Best place we stayed that wasn't animal related on our holiday, would definitely return. Location, location, location. Right on the beach, gated access so secure parking and you need a key to open a smaller gate to get on the beach, but only a normal garden type gate. Loved all the details of the hotel - small hotel 13 rooms...

We only spent one night here during our drive from Cape Town. Wish we could have spent a few more. The room had a beautiful view overlooking the beach. The staff were great and the room was spacious and clean. We could open the doors to our private sitting area and listen to the waves crashing as we went to...

Wonderful place to stay in Plett, situated right at the beach with a gated and guarded parking lot. Not only the breakfast ist exceptional, but the restaurant sharing the breakfast accomodations of the Hotel was extraordinary in service, menu, wine menu and cookery.

This is set right on the beach; you cannot get closer without swimming. Rooms - ours was first floor facing the sea - was well presented and of a reasonable size, with windows looking out to sea. Bathroom good size and decent bed . Breakfast is served in the adjoining restaurant and is of a good standard. Staff were very...

Our first visit to this part of the world - beautiful views and setting. Milkwood Manor has 8 guest rooms, some on the ground floor, more on the first floor. All very comfortable with everything you could need and more. Adjoining is the Lemon Grass restaurant, ideal for a romantic dinner and serving an excellent menu. Prices are very fair.

This is one of the loveliest hotels I've stayed in (technically I think they call themselves a B&B). It's bright and friendly and very well looked after. The room, while smallish, was perfectly appointed with a suitcase rack for two small cases, a cupboard, coffee/tea station, a desk and chair, comfy bed, and crisp white linen and thick fluffy towels....

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Location: The most enviable location on the Garden Route. At the end of a quiet cul-de-sac, jutting into the ocean - any closer and you would be in it! - as well as the estuary of a large lagoon- no neighbours but nature! Exquisite, unimpeded 180 views (360 from the roof deck) of the vast blue ocean, golden beaches, large lagoon and the imposing Tsitsikamma Mountain Range. Nature all'round, yet not isolated, but only a 2-minute drive from the town centre and its trendy shops.A pristine beach: accessible from the sheltered cove adjacent to the Manor - ideal for swimming in natural water – you may boat across to an unspoiled and usually deserted beach, far from built-up areas, traffic, crowds and noise. Blissful solitude and a complete immersion in nature, with only the sound of white-crested surf tumbling at one’s feet and the calls of a medley of seabirds – a veritable bird sanctuary. Becalming and rejuvenating - the perfect antidote for stress,. With luck you may even find the mysterious and sought-after pansy shell (sand dollar). The Manor: built in classic Georgian style, with an airy double-volume foyer and eleven double bedrooms, most with private patio or balcony. All rooms are decorated in crisp white and en-suite to a shower cubicle with/without bath, and a queen bed or twin beds, TV-hospitality package, free uncapped Wi-Fi, tea/coffee making facilities, safe, fan, heater and hairdryer. The sash windows allow the fresh ocean air straight in. ... more   less
