The location and venue is wonderful however the service, value for money and wine & cheese tasting experience was absolutely awful! The two ladies who served us were clearly uninterested. Our wines were poured one by one and just left there for us to drink. No explanation or tasting experience whatsoever. The cheese platter was truly dismal. The cheddar definitely...

Dear Jade I am truly sorry to hear of your terrible experience, it is such a pity that you did not say something directly to the lady that served you, you will see from our other reviews we have very good comments and your experience is certainly an exception to the rule. It is always frustrating when visitors complain afterwards...

Nestled away between knysna and Plettenberg is this gem of an estate. Wine and food to die for. Stunning views of rolling hills ... fantastic cheese platter (share it) there's so much to savour. A dust road to get there but worth the effort

It was lovely meeting you too and thank you for allowing us to stay at your beautiful farm. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and feel so relaxed & rejuvenated. We surely enjoyed the swimming pool, especially my boys, as it is double the size of ours. So more space, meant more fun! Apart from the beauty, peace & tranquility, we...

Just off the N2 on an untarred road with beautiful forest scenery. Relaxed outside tasting area overlooking a beautiful valley and mountains. White, rose, pinot noir and bubbly. Wines quite different, but delicious. Cheese platters are very good and plentiful albeit a bit pricey. Worth a visit.

4 very lovely tastings hosted by Elise. Their MCC is delicious. The rose is barrel fermented for 3 months. Two of the cheeses are made on the farm and are very nice. Lovely views and peaceful environment. Cant take many people so booking is essential.

We enjoyed a lovely wine tasting with the best view. Ilze was our host and added a personal touch to the experience. Well worth a visit. Enjoy the lovely wines at a nice slow pace. And don't forget to greet their basset hound, Fred!

We were a group of 8. Had seen ad for Packwood and keen to try something new. Well what a wonderful surprise. Lovely English couple own the farm. They met us in the parking area then proceeded to a lovely covered area with gorgeous mountain/ valley views. We were given a brief history of their family and the farm then...

Our quest to find wine in the Garden Route lead us to Packwood. After the 6km drive on gravel, we arrived expectantly at the gate. We curiously walked in to the most unique and intimate tasting experience of our life. Sitting on hay stacks in the lush gardens, we had the privilege of the owner and wine maker Vicky, conducting...

The cheese made by the lady who served us was delicious and the hot bread was the perfect accompaniment for the cheese platter. Lovely setting for a big group to share the platters whilst wine tasting.

Packwood is a fine example of how wineries in the Western Cape used to be before commercialisation set in. Beautiful views and rustic venue. Ashley did a brilliant job of telling us all about the wines and the tasting was a great success. The cheese lunch was very tasty with ample servings of cheese made on the farm. Lovely bread...
