We decided to go to Grand Canyon North at the last minute. Camping spots were booked out at GCN. This campground was close, had shade, nice easy to get to. The camp host was friendly. I would recommend this campground to anyone that can't get into GCN. Bathroom toilet pit, Fire pits. level tent sites, no electricity, They do have...

When we arrived at the camping, the host welcomed us and told us which spot was ours for a night. We had a 24ft RV and were fitting perfectly in the spot. More than enough space left including a barbecue and picknicktable. It is only a short drive (20/30 minutes) left from the North Rim. We went there at night...

Love that place. We found it accidentally on the way to the canyon, did not have any reservations and were looking for a place to crash. We slept in the car and it got really cold at night even though it was in the middle of the summer. Haven't used bathrooms so no word on that and there is no...

If you can't get a reservation in the actual park, this campground will do the trick. It's located about 7-8 miles outside the entrance to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon in the Kaibab National Forest. The campground itself is pretty much what you'd expect in a National Forest. It's wooded with minimal bathrooms. There are no showers or...

With my job I can only plan time off 3 months in advance. We reserved a campsite for 2 nights at $18 a night on recreation.gov. Because the campground in the Park was full. While we visited the North Rim we drove by the campground and it was packed! very close to the General Store, the laundry and showers. So...

We reserved a site on recreation.gov, which ridiculously adds $8 or $9 to what would have been an $18 stay (only stayed one night), but worth it to know you have a spot waiting when you arrive at a remote location like this. The site was not very large and was pretty close to the one next to it, but...

The closest National Forest campground to Grand Canyon National Park North rim. There are plenty of sites, no hook ups or showers, but only $18 per night. They reserve 50% of the sites on recreation.gov and 50% for drive up stays. Nice and quiet, beautiful forest area.

I haven't stayed there yet but I've had the displeasure of trying to book a reservation, which is done through recreation.gov. I checked availability, picked the date I wanted from what was available, and proceeded to the checkout process. However, there was an option to change the dates, so I clicked on that to see what other dates were available...

This is a very open campsite; despite it being peak season and the campsite full, we never felt remotely close to any of our neighbours. Our site had a barbeque pit and wood was available for sale. We only met an 'official' once and that was for him to tell us off for gathering our own wood from the ground....

The Campground is situated in the Kaibab National Forest and is a short drive from the north rim. It can be used by RV's and tents. Some of the spots can be reserved, others are first come first serve. Costs 18$ per night. Payment is done with an envelope you pick up at the entrance. Find an open spot, fill...
