My husband and I did a short Route 66 trip to Holbrook AZ and spent the night 10/20/13 at the Wigwam Motel. Our unit had been recently refurbished. New flooring, newly painted, new HVAC unit, new mattresses and linens. Immaculately clean. The room was very comfortable. Scads of hot water. It was actually a more pleasant experience than the newer...

What can you say about the Wigwam? My wife and I usually require a king size bed (to keep from knocking knees) but we made an exception to stay at the Wigwam and slept in a double bed! It was well worth the mild discomfort! I think I would let someone whack me in the knees with a 2X4, rather...

The Wigwam is an amazing piece of Route 66 nostalgia. If you’re looking for amenities, don’t go here. But if you’re looking for a first class, 1950’s experience, this is the place. The shower was tiny but the beds are comfortable and our teepee (near the main road) was quiet.

We were on an abbreviated Route 66 tour and we cam across one of the many Wigwam Motel spots (#6). The Motel doesn't open till 3pm, we were too early, to actually see in one of the Wigwam rooms. But we were able to see the outside and that was a real treat to those of us who appreciate cars....

The kids loved this place. Was it the St. Regis? Not even close, but it was a super fun location to spend the night on Route 66 and launching point to see the petrified forest. It's clean and its a concrete wigwam/teepee that is where the amenities start and stop. It is pet friendly. There are old cars you can...

Funky, fun and a classic - it is what it is and doesn't pretend to be anything else. The folks were friendly, free wi-fi in the office and for those of us traveling Route 66 in our classic cars, a is a must-do stop. The rooms are clean, small and dated. Now we can say that we stayed at the...

What a treat!! Spotlessly clean, quiet and reasonably priced. I felt like I took a trip back in time. When was the last time you slept in a Wig Wam? Retro cars parked in front, period furniture, museum in office. Friendly staff! We were lucky and had a beautiful sunset that blew us away. There is no in room coffee,...

So... you're doing route 66. You need to stay here. That's it. But now I've been, I would never stay there again... The location is poor, nothing in the surrounding area to warrant a night there. Local restaurants are average to terrible. Sleep quality here is a guaranteed poor. The mosquitos constantly find their way in. Air con sounded like...

The Wigwarm is fun if you are into Rt66 life style. My wife and I stayed there just for the heck of it. Very small rooms and shower but clean. Management helpful on other things to do in the area since the nearby National park was closed. Good photos of old cars and the tepees.

Had booked a nights accommodation at the Wigwam Motel as part of our "Route 66" trip, but decided against staying the night. The door to the Wigwam was very flimsy and from inside, daylight shone through the door panels. The décor, carpets, bedding etc do not appear to have been changed since the 1950's. I can't say the bedding wasn't...
